online friends wanted!

Hi, guys. I'm Becky from China, a junior in college. I'm a new one here so I'm not sure raising up a discussion like this is appropriate or not. See, I had a pen friend from Australia 3 years ago. Though handwriting letter was a little old-school, we did have so much fun. But somehow we lost in touch later. After that, I tried to find some online friends via msn, but they seemed to have no interest in having an online friendship.So I had to give up..till now.
I do have two BFFs and a bunch of good friends around, but online friends and pen friends are somehow different to me. It's fun, you know, to chat with people who will not show up in your neighborhood. It's like an online diary, except that the reader is not the writer per se.
So, I have to say it again: let's be friends~~

Hello there dear! I'd love to be friends with you. Like you I really like talking to people too and I'm just sad that my msn friends want other things than just being friends. Like you I was in the habit of writing friends from other countries as well. I learned a lot from them and that really made me glad. Well I hope we can be friends!

I loved to write to my pen friends back then. But somehow we just stoped. I've added them into my msn, but we didn't talk much ever since. I guess we just get lazy writing letters.

You should have stayed active here in mylot because this is the place you could make as many friends online as you wanted. Some people here have over 4000 friends on their list, a little too many for me as how can you talk to that many people, impossible.
I am Chris, from Canada, and I like having friends in mylot from all over the world. People from different countries have so much different to say and it always interests me. I learn a lot about other cultures by being a member with mylot. I hope that you get an email from mylot telling you that I posted a response to your discussion and you come back and realize that this is the place to be to find online friends.

no, maybe. the whole online thing lacks the sense of reality. sometimes, it makes people feel insecure and unreal. Anyway, I still think it's a good thing to meet new friends here..so, it's good to meet you here..

when I started chatting on various website i choose this name becuase i wanted to have some sincere friendship here on this virtual world... but people seen to cheating others here and so i never ask anybody to have engaged with me in friendship like real life...

Hi there, we can be friends, I am from Philippines. If your familiar with Facebook, you can find a lot of friends there. You can comment their statuses or medias they post in order to keep in touch with them whenever you've lost communication with some. I've been to China and it's such a great place, I also have relatives there. I am kinda used to having online and I also had a BFF just by that, then we lost in touch then we became good partners again. It's nice to have people around especially in Europe, I'd like to have friends from there.

I think it is possible to have friends here. You just need to find some who will add you as friend. Once you accept, you can then send messages to them.

Hi Becky! Like you I have had quite a handful of online friends. I do still keep in touch with them, through yahoo messenger and other social network sites. :) It is quite fun too. :) You can add me as a friend too!!! :) Oh and I am a newbie to myLot as well. :)
