Well of course, if we have the same routine it will make us bored. That's why we feel sleepy because we are bored. But we can take a couple of minutes to take a round in the office to avoid feeling sleepy. Take some papers for copying, or go to someone else's table and offer help for a couple of minutes. This is just to get out of our own table for even a while.

Occasionally an office job can zap your energy and run off you feeling physically and mentally exhausted, inhibiting your ability to do your work or enjoy your home life. Even when you have pursued your passion and garnered the job of your dreams, your enthusiasm and ambition can unintentionally become derailed by forces beyond your control. No job is perfect and all have some duties and responsibilities that are not favored or enjoyable to perform. However, when the volume of your workload is something you do not enjoy, your energy will be affected in a negative way. If you do not have enough to do, or you have more to do than can be accomplished in the chosen time, you will become discouraged and feel a dip in energy. If your work makes you feel uninterested, angry or indifferent, you will not maintain a healthy energy level or optimistic attitude. Nothing will drag you down faster than being compelled to go every day to an office where you are ill-suited to the duties and responsibilities involved in the job. You will be doing yourself and your loved ones a favor by not settling for an office job that zaps your energy on a daily basis. You earn to be happy and comfortable at your office job.

Good day airasheila!! I haven't had any experience in a real workplace like that, but I can tell you that it's not always the matter of having or not having enough sleep the day before, as I usually go to bed rather early n still find myself yawning in the class.. lol So yeah, I think the most likely cause of feeling sleepy n sometimes yawning anywhere is boredom, cos your brain isn't working intensively

I think it is not boring to work if you really love your work and your earn money from it, I read a magazine article before that the best thing we must consider in choosing our job is that we must love our work.

My work at the office is always very interesting and exciting. So, I never get bored or sleepy. The work requires a lot of research, market research online, related to the business the company is doing. Internet is the information highway for that, and very enjoyable.

I have been working for almost six years now. Basically my work involves consultancy. So I get to know more people and I am doing differently from time to time. But even that, with my career which has been going for almost six years now, there is a tendency that get relaxed and not excited to do things. Imagine if I am doing the same thing over and over again for almost six years. In such kind of situation, there is a probability that you will lose interest in the things that you do at work. I can understand your officemate especially on the premise that it is difficult to find jobs nowadays. Perhaps one solution is to implement a job rotation within the company. In that way, an employee will not be bound to do the same thing throughout her career in the company but rather will feel a bit excited in the new things that he can learn. That also allows him to grow professionally. By implementing that you can expect dramatic change in the productivity of the person at the same time his perception about his job. I hope I was able to impart something of importance. Happy mylotting!

Good day onlineraket, You are absolutely correct. However, my colleague was just employed in the company two years ago. Hence, she is not yet familiar with the flow of work in the office. For me, there is no enough reason for her to get bored. Maybe, she dont really love her work.

That's what you called innovation. That is a good idea to do. At least you find ways on how to ease your boredom feeling. Have a nice day Hushi22.

I get bored easily. At work, I get bored when we don't have much project to pursue, no deadlines to keep in mind. I love new challenges and new things all the time and I also like socialization in your working environment. If the job and the people I work with are all boring, then I would need to find a new job. But so far, I don't get bored that often anymore.

I have a co-worker too who sleeps all the time! I am fortunate to handle a process that it is not at all strenuous or stressful. I usually am done with my work in just an hour which leaves me to about 7 hours free time at work. Before I met Mylot, I find myself really being bored and sometimes I really feel sleepy. Now, I seldom get bored at work anymore ever since I am here at Mylot. When I am at Mylot it keeps the boredom away as I usually participate in discussions and sometimes I bump into my friends here and comment back to each other even if our comments are not anymore connected to the topic. What's good is that I am using my free time to earn additional income.

I think everyone gets bored with their work sometimes. There will always be the ups and downs. I myself sometimes feel that way too. However, there are always a lot of things going on (and this includes issues that give me headaches :p) thus my "bored" moments are limited. But not loving or wanting your job anymore is a different story...:)

Yes I too have started feeling a little bored with my work. I have been doing almost the same thing for about 2 and half years and now think that I need a change. I have started applying for the IJPS that come in the office. Also have started looking for opportunities outside with other companies. Will just need to wait and watch as to what happens.
