Sorry Mr. President, you can't complain to MEDIA.

Hello Pnoy - you just can't complain to the media who side with you. they're neutral now

remember? the honeymoon is over I read a newspaper today in supposedly bias Inquirer that Pnoy complains about Media reporting only the bad news, not to mention his emerging love-life with Liz Uy. sorry, MR. Pnoy, i don't think you're involvement with this person isn't bad news at all. the moment you enter public life, everything seems to be a Public Property to the public's eye. of course, that includes the surveys too.. I believe there is a good reason why BAD news is always there, and that is for the government to keep tracked on how to deal with the BAD news. by not reporting them, its just allowing the government to fall deaf or ignore those problems. So, in my opinion, get used to it MR. PREsident, apparently, Past Presidents got more bad news than you are getting now. It's how you handle the issue that counts.

Pnoy is reacting as if this is his first time to enter politics, duh! has he forgotten that his parents were politicians too? and he himself has been in politics since he still has all those hairs in his head, another duh! Come on Pnoy! Pnoy has been complaining and keep asking every one to just give him some privacy when it comes to his love life. But can he blame the media when they keep seeing him dating a lot of women? not to mention that he had just broken up to Soledad who seems to be too good natured to cause him any heartaches? ...Not unless Kris is behind the break up... Ok, lets give his some privacy, but seeing his photos dating women would definitely raise eyebrows, why? because people will think that inspite of all the troubles that's hounding our country, he finds the time to date girls! I'm saying girls because Liz almost half his age. duh again! I don't see anything wrong with him dating actually. But the least he could do is show us results on what he had promised. To think that he have not done any major achievements yet, taking away "wang wang" but getting replaced by the "hawi" boys is not an achievement. The shame that the hostage taking has brought us is still staring us in the face. He should deliver what he promised and when all is achieved he can have all the time to date, for all we care.

Hello Ybong, Not to mention, he's been into congress and senate, he didn't complain before. that's true, it's his performance as President that counts.. i don't think he can have his privacy anymore, not to mention he has a lot to do based on his platforms. well, dates are fine as long as it doesn't intervene with his work.

The least we need is a president who seems to give the impression that he is a chick boy. Being a chick boy gives an impression that he's more keen on chasing ladies and not serious about his job. The president could be the youngest ever as far as the Philippines is concerned but he's not really that young, however his actions seems to portray that of a teenager who can't control his hormones during puberty. There's really nothing wrong in him dating but he should be careful about with whom he's seen with. As I've mentioned, he just broke up with Soledad, the least he could do is let the issue simmer down but on the contrary people are seeing him with different girls a few weeks after the break up. I would personally find it romantic if he dates his girl friend but with the way things are going, people are sympathizing more with his ex and it appears that he's the heart breaker, or is it Kris? . Pnoy has to realize that people have very high expectation from him and his love life is not exempted or excluded from those expectations. After all, he's not just anybody, he is the president of this country.

I personally think that linking him to this Liz Uy girl is bad news for him because he doesn't want people to see him as a playboy or in our term "BABAERO". Just think about this, he just got out of a two year long relationship and just after a few weeks he's already courting someone else. Though I really admire his ex-girlfriend for not commenting about this, the way I see it, it really must be painful for her n\but she chose to keep quiet instead.[ You know what I think, he's pretty lucky to be in the newspapers all the time. LOL Most people do carzy stuff to just so people would recognize their name. I'm there with you, I say MR. President, stop whinning and accept everything goes like this. I mean he have chosen to be a president, so we all expect especially him, that these kinds of reports will always be present.

Hello azaerus, It's his right. he's a person after all and not married. what's worse was erap when he was president, even though he has wife, he had tons of women at his side buying them homes. i agree, he should just keep his promises from the start of his campaign. I like the good news in terms of new investments and how he went mad against those who gave travel advisories with his consent first.the rest, ain't my time

@Azaerus: You sound like my mother. For some reason, she has taken a liking to Shalani, although she might be a tad young for PNoy, she says. So PNoy is now dating a 28-year old stylist, or as my mother would call her, beautician. As I told my mother, he really does not have a lot of choices in his age bracket, so give him a break. I don't agree that dating right after a break-up makes him a womanizer (babaero). I think men are really not good at handling aloneness, that's all. At least, he is a serial dater, so that's fine. It is lonely at the top after all. @Letranknight: Erap was indeed a bad example. And to make matters worse, he thinks people find it macho.

I have to agree with you - as a public official, there is very little that is off limits to the public, and that unfortunately, includes matters of his heart. The problem with PNoy is that he was so use to flying below the radar before, and so now that he is before the full glare of the spotlight, he now whines and complains. Other than the usual rumor-mongering, there is a reason why we scrutinize the personal aspects of a public official. People close to his heart are the ones who will influence him, directly or indirectly, and we want to know if these people are above board. Of course it helps that it is fodder for the mill, but behind the gossipping is our nagging suspicion that this people will have access to the state's coffers. So there, PNoy, no more whining please, and just suck it up. It goes with the territory, honeymoon or no honeymoon.

Hello Advocate, People close to his heart are the ones who will influence him, directly or indirectly - this is one of the major reasons why i started not to like Noy and chose Gordon instead. as far as I am concern, there shouldn't be honeymoon in the first place since media's role is to provide news, no matter how bad it may be.

You know, PNoy is kinda right on this one. Well, on leaving him alone about his love life part. This part of his life really should be kept private, but as you mentioned, it can't be kept private. He is a public figure, therefore he should accustom himself to this types of scrutiny. As for the media, and the people lapping up his lovelife story, don't you have anything better to do than to follow his every romantic pursuit? I mean, come on! Would you like this to be done to you. For the "bad news" he's getting, it's normal. The media will air whatever they think is news. Good or bad. It just so happened that there are more bad news to report. If he wants good news about him and his administration, then he better do something to merit the brand "good news"

Hello Knicnax, Well, Media doesn't give a damn i think, unless it talks about censorship. it's impossible for the media to move away from that issue because he is public figure. the only choice is for him to get used to it since we can't dictate what media is to report.

Sometimes It's hard to believe that since the president is a sibling of a famous celebrity and a son of famous, he should have been anticipating this kind of assault and attention for the very beginning. One can argue that he is a private person but nobody becomes a private person after being a public official, everybody knows that fact. He should have known and prepared for this from the beginning. Also, this is the president who claims to want a more open and direct communications with his constituents. One annoying act from the media and he cries 'foul'. I mean, make up your mind. At least the last president is confident enough to show that she doesn't care what her people and the media thinks.

Hello jeanne, Well, that's one thing i like about the past administration is that they kept silent and do some work. but we can't deny that they did bad things too, at least they really didn't complain much too bad for the president that the honey moon is over

[em]angry[/em. that is to personal and i really dont care about that much. i want to see what he can do for this country. i want to see how good well he can do based on all the promises he said. like obama his rate now is going down. i dont like to say this but looks like Gordon and Bayani are the real ones fit for the job. just my opinion.

Hello Seven, Yeah, it's not part of the progress that all of us would love to hear. Anything for them to report for. well, they'd better luck next time to think they can convince me to at least watch that useless info.

Well Pnoy should know by now that being a President is no easy thing and indeed news bad or good about you will always come each day of your life for as long as you are there at the Palace. It is part of his Presidential life and not even his privacy would be spared. Well he should by now having a good (bad) feel of what Gloria have had when she was the one reigning at the Palace and Pnoy should remember that he was one of those who gave Gloria bad news every day. Well weather weather lang yan.

The Pres. was quoted saying the media should focus on the govt issues instead of his personal life. This is our first time we have a bachelor president and every time a girl he just had a chat or maybe a dinner would really be magnify by the media people. This is new to us, i guess the best thing the president should do is have dinners inside his residency or out of the lenses of the media. This is probably the downside for being too accommodating and too open to the public. there must be some privacy or distance between him being the president and his personal life.

I have to agree 100%. All of it. It is so subtle the eay it is being delivered to PNoy compared to the past presidents we had because for us right now he is the people's favorite and the Media is also really watching what they are trying to broadcast because they will be get back by the Filipino subscribers to their newspapers. Have a great day.

Hello aaron, I guess they are also thinking that majority of the people they believed aren't that critical minded and only wanted to talked about something from celebrities, president's included. well, they're right.but it's their responsibility to report what's the important and not those who only cause more people to gossip

The MEDIA stands as a watchdog of the people on social issues including public administration of our leaders. But as to the Mr. President can't complain to media, I couldn't just agree, in the sense that our President is still human. Human as HE is i think He deserves some privacy too, specially when it's about His romantic love affair. There is nothing wrong with it though, he is still single up to now, so he has all the right to enjoy a romantic relationship privately. Hailing him as the President of our Republic, should not make us feel that we have the license to look into the very small details of his life, because he too (as far as I believe) deserves the right to privacy in certain aspects (in this case his love affair), and well, it's not easy to be the leader of more than 80 million people with diverse culture and orientation. As such, let's give him a break when it comes to his love life. God bless you LetranKnight25!

Hello chuyins123, they are the watch dog, except during the elections where a network indirectly sided with a politician. until, other people started knowing about these problems with the network.. now, he complains why he is being drilled, that's what happened to other past administrations. what happens to him now is only the beginning. godbless you too.
