Every country has diifferent experience and law in buying a house. But I think most vof them can get help from the house agency. Saome of the salesman is jsut not a good salesman at all and they always lie for their job jsut wants to persaude you to buy the hoiuse , so he can make some commission out of it. Once you bought the house and he won't care about you anymore. I don't know about your country but in my city, the situation is like that. Well, maybe you can share some of your experience to all of us in mylot, so that we can learn something from your experience.

When we bought our house nearly three years ago, our Real Estate Agent really worked hand in hand with us from the time that we first saw the house until the time that we were finally able to close on the house nearly five months later. She kept us up to date on what was going on with the proceedings because our house was a short sale before a short sale was really a term that was known. In addition to that, we still talk to her to this day because she is also the HR person at my husband's place of employment.

I haven't bought a house yet, so I can't say. I inherited my house and while I was away from home, I rented. But I do know that like anything that you buy in person, you have to make sure there are no defects. Are there ghosts? Are the water pipes in good condition? Is the heater or furnace up to code? Will the roof leak when it rains? Is the electrical wiring safe and sound? Is there a bug problem (roaches, ants, termites, African killer bees, etc.)? Does the basement flood? Oh, I almost forgot, can you get cable and wireless internet in your area? LOL Since owning a house is such a huge responsibility and financial drain, one must investigate dilligentlye.
