The Millenium Development Goals (MDGs) have made eradication of extreme poverty as its priority Number 1 in all countries of the world by 2015 and over 180 countries are signatories to this document. It is however amazing that there seem to be no clear concensus between nations and within individuals as to what "poverty" actually means. Can you briefly, in your own perception and words describe what poverty means to you? Responses to this may help nations in focusing their attentions on the REAL issues as they earnestly strive to meet the MDG targets by 2015.
