Are you a morning person or a night one?

I consider myself a night person since I have been working in a graveyard shift before. I cannot imagine myself being a morning person because I usually sleep late at night even on my day off. Now that I quit my job, I am still getting used to sleeping early, my sleeping time now ranges from 10pm - 12 midnight. I sometimes wake up in the wee hours of the morning then get back to sleep again. Morning is not my kind of time since my mood is not that good due to lack of sleep so right now, I am still a night person, how about you?

My grandfather is like that. He will go to bed at around 9p.m. and wake up at about 2a.m. However, he denies every aspect of taking " cat naps " throughout the day even though everyone knows it happens.

I used to be very much a night person when I was a professional musician. There were many times when I was returning home from work at daybreak. But as I grew older and got a family, I realized that being a musician would not provide a regular income as it used to fluctuate from week to week as to how many gigs I could get. So I trained as a therapist and stared working mostly days. I still played piano in clubs for a while, but it was difficult doing two jobs one into the night, and the other in the daytime, so I quit the music business and now only play for family and pleasure. Now I am very much daytime person and get up each morning around 5:30 and now really feel that that is the best time of day, when all is quiet and there is only me around. _Derek

I never thought whether I am a day-person or a night-person, until I'd read this discussion. Well, I think I am a night person. I usually go to sleep around 12a.m.- 2a.m. and wake-up, if there is no work, around 10.am. Thanks for asking my friend.

Like you i'm also a night lover. I go to bed around 1.30 a.m and gets up at 6.30 a.m. But on Saturday and Sunday i get up at 8.30 a.m because these two days are holidays for my child and i don't want to prepare food early in the morning. My husband is also at home on weekends.

Well... I used to be a night person when I was studying in my greaduation and while doing master's also ... but now when I have joined job and doing meditation on everyday basis, I am getting habituated to wake up early in the morning at 4AM ... Many friend of mine don't believe that its me only who can do it ...but I am trying to do it everyday and I hope it will become a regular habbit for my good in future ... One thing ... when I used to sleep late night , I was not getting much time to do all the things for which I was responsible but now its different and I am doing many things in a day and I am happy from myself ... Thanks ...

I consider myself as a day person not night person. This may be due to the cause from my childhood never been working in a night that may be the cause. I get up fresh in the morning go for a walk, complete all work and by end of day totally tired and ready to go for a sound sleep

I'm a night person too. No matter how early I go to sleep in the night, I still don't want to wake up early in the morning and I feel more energetic doing my work from noon to night time until I go to sleep. I have tried to start working from morning but it is just not working for me, my brain gets tired so easily and faster as well. Have a nice day

I'm a night person too, my sleeping time ranges from 2am - 4am. That is why I have a hard time waking up early. To add up my problem being a night person I have to wake up around 6:30a.m. every working days.

I'm definitely a morning person because my mind is more alert in the morning. At night, I feel really tired from work and from the commute that's why I just wanna sleep when I get home. After sleeping, my mind feels rested and refreshed, which is why I wake up feeling more energized. I guess it really depends on your habits and schedule. If you're used to the graveyard shift, then your body clock and sleeping cycle automatically adjusts to that. Maybe if you change your schedule abruptly and try a regular working schedule during the day, you might feel disoriented, just like travelers feel jet lag sometimes. That can be unhealthy. I hope your body clock can adjust soon so you won't be in a bad mood anymore! Best regards!

I'm definitely more of a morning person. I have become a little more of a night person, but I still remain more of a morning person. I am just able to do a little more during the evening.

I'm not really working but I can say I am the night one since I am the one that's adjusting the time in our relationship of my partner.Since the time is different and I'm the one that's without job now,I need to adjust and chance my sleeping routine. My sleeping time starts around 6 am in the Morning and I wake up 1 pm.I'm already 3 years being a night person and it actually affect my health so much.I want to go back into my normal life already.

Definately a night owl here, I feel lousy most of the day but come mid to late evening I nearly always perk up. I have tried having a big breakfast and other stuff but just guess that is the way that I am. For some reason i just cannot get to sleep before at least midnight

I'm a night person...usually I feel non-energetic during the day and spend the whole time sleeping.By I will be active at night.I'm still studying,so I would sleep in lectures often and back up my studying during the night.
