Well, in order for a person to prevent the having coronary heart disease, knowledge of the risk factors is important. There are certain things that causes heart disease, avoiding them will certainly help out. The risk factors are divided into two categories, controllable and uncontrollable. Lets start with the controllable ones: smoking, lack of exercise, fatty foods (bad cholesterol), hypertension, diabetes. There are also those that cannot be controlled: age, heredity and gender. But at least, the controllable ones are more than those that we cannot control. So it would be wise to take them into consideration. Best to you!

You should eat healthy food like oatmeal. I know it's yucky but it helps. You should lower your LDLs in the body. They are the bad fats. Fats can clog your arteries thus, making you at risk for stroke. Don't smoke or avoid second hand smoking. Exercise every morning can help too.
