HELP! What is the best and effective and inexpensive way to treat pimples?

November 18, 2010 7:29am CST
I've been having a number of zits in my forehead and chin lately which is so unusual for me. I've tried a lot of OTC(over the counter) topical medicine and soaps but still It won't help. I know that my last resort is consulting a dermatologist but before doing that action, I wanna hear from myloters first.

Thanks! That's what I've heard too, it's not good to wash the face a lot of times in a day.

Do you have Dove Soap? If you get the beauty bar, then cake it on your face for a few minutes, treating it like a mask, it will help get rid of the pimples and redness. I was recommended this a few years ago for dry/ red skin and it helped immensely.

Wash your face daily with cold water. At least wash five times a day. Use turmeric based natural pimple creams which will give you good improvement...!

The best and effective and inexpensive way to treat pimples is to avoid oily food, tension, late night work, irregular eating habits, applying random ointment etc. Take more water, face wash with a branded lotion and do avoid junk food. This is from my own experience and also told by my dermatologist. All the best........

Thanks for the advice! Hope I'll be able to follow those. I don't really want to visit a dermatologist as much as possible.

Hi tickles23! If you have tried a lot of medicines and soaps and the pimples are still there, you might want to check your lifestyle or habits. There are a lot of factors that contribute with pimples on your face, one of which would be sleeping habits, they say that if you lack sleep, which contributes as well to stress, you tend to have pimples after. What I normally do is wash my face twice a day with a medicinal soap, then apply my facial lotion. But, in your case, I suggest that you seek help with a dermatologist, if you still have time, you might want to use a moisturizer on your face as well. I hope these helped, have a nice day! :-)

I guess having a lack of sleep is the main culprit. If it gets worsen even if I change my sleeping habits, I might really need to visit a dermatologist so I would be getting the appropriate treatment suitable for me. Thanks frenzylady!

It is a so hard question,I mean many friends of mine have the same prombles! It's just beacuse the balence between the water and oil has been broken,so the oil blocked your pore! You'd better drink more water and sleep more!don't play computer too long!
