Do you think Chinese products will eventually catch up on quality?

Just asking the question cause I remember my late grandmother telling me that before and after World War II, they only bought products that was either made in the US of A or made in Germany, all the rest was considered inferior especially those that were mass produced from Japan. Look what happened to Japanese products from the eighties to the present, they had become to be what we call now as original rather than imitations in all aspects of commerce, Toyota, Mitsubishi just to name a few. Going back to where i began, China now is under going what japan under went at a much grander scale, lots of mass produced and inferior products that somehow penetrate our market. Do you think that eventually Chinese products, or China itself will produce companies and products that will out sell everyone not only because of price or quantity but because of quality, think of all the money they have right now that they can channel to research in every aspect we deem possible?
