Earthquake In The Rockies

Not going to vouch for whatever is reported on this recent article, but I feel that members or any one who is living in Idaho should be alerted. Apparently, scientists at Idaho State University have mapped a previously unknown and active seismic fault in the northern Rockies capable of unleashing an earthquake with a magnitude as high as 7.5. According to Glenn Thackray, chairman of the university's geosciences department, they have reasons to conclude from the recent discovery of a 40-mile-long fracture in the Earth's crust at the base of the Sawtooth Mountains near the tiny mountain town of Stanley. I hope that the people and authorities in Idaho especially in Stanley would be prudent to prepare for this eminent quake by coming up with more emergency preparedness plans. You know that there are faultlines all over the place and though scientists are able to keep an eye on them, it doesn't mean that they are able to predict when there will be an earthquake. They have been predicting a large scale earthquake here in Kentucky for several years now and there hasn't been one yet. I remember being in high school and having to do earthquake drills all the time and I've been out of high school for twelve years.
