Can Someone Make Money In Facebook?

I really don't understand weather facebook as a social website is a PTC website or not. There are so many reports about facebook, some say money can be made out of facebook if one really know how to play the game.
However, majority of people say that it is not possible to make money in facebook because that site is not designed for making money. it is mainly designed for socializing between friends. Which one is true, I will be happy if someone can guide me on how to make money out of facebook.

I have been on facebook for awhile and it does not generate cash. But there are other things you can do to make money on facebook. Like there is a program called profile dough were you put there banner on your page and make money off of it. I have heard of people using facebook to sell something they own or a service they offer. But does facebook actually pay you something. Not that I have ever seen. But please if you know something I do not , let me know.

see facebook is a social community site. networkers can use them to generate lead & to fetch more referals. otherwise i dont think facebook ppl pay u any thing.
