I work in a fairly small retail store, where many of our customers know us and like us. They come in on a regular basis, and they'll chat with us while we ring them through. This is all well and good. I like these people. The people I don't like are the ones that are constantly just being inconsiderate. What I mean is this: We have a garbage can behind the counter, and one just outside the front door. However, I have picked up more garbage off the floor this week than I can rationalize. If I find just one or two things, not a big deal. I figure it just fell out of their pocket or something. But I'm finding used kleenex on the floor, gum stuck to the floor AND to the freezers! People seem to also enjoy rearranging things on the fridge shelves. I understand that people want to find a good expiry date on their milk, but do they have to dig all the way back, moving things out of place, creating milk chaos? No! They can ask anyone that works there if we can find a better date, and if we have it, we'll get it! Along the lines of the fridge, why do people seem to think we can be in multiple places at once? When I have customers lined up at my cash register, I'm not going to have time to stock anything. However, some people seem to think that, regardless of how many people I am currently helping, everything should be stocked full at any given moment. Speaking of how many people I am currently helping, why do some people not understand that when I am helping someone, they need to wait their turn before they attempt to talk over me to ask a question. What I would really like to do is leave passive aggressive notes around the store for the customers, not that they would read any of them. LOL That's my rant today. :)

When I worked in a grocery store, I ran into similar things. The shelf stocking got to me after awhile. I have been a customer before and have run into the shelves not being stocked, but I also concider that people are there to buy things so not everything is going to be stocked perfectly. I tried to be nice about it and if I can spare a few seconds I will locate the product you are looking for. We started actually putting the best dated milk on the bottom shelf so that way they didn't dig all through the cooler and knock milk onto the cooler floor. I have too many kids to go and get the best date. They need milk now so I know in a few days it will get used up pretty quickly. I am sorry to hear that you are having a rough time. Sometimes you justhave to grin and bear it. Have you tried talking to your super about it? Good luck to you that you have better days ahead!

I live in a nice little coffee shop near the university, and there's such a store next door. I love that store! Fortunately the owners have good luck with the customer. However, if I caught someone acting that way toward them, I'd give the offender Hell!
