Why do Blogger's Templates Have to be so Sucky?

Yesterday my 3rd party template had some sort of meltdown and the appearance of my blog was awful! What I wanted to know was why does Blogger's template have to be so sucky (in regards to design and functionality)to the point that I have to outsource my template selections to other websites? You would think that Blogger would get the point since the majority of Blogger.com users are using 3rd party, take a hint Blogger! Right now I'm using one Blogger's templates as a temporary until I can find a new one that won't fizzle out on me, but to look at my blog(Bad Monkey Free Press)homepage to me is not only disappointing but it also makes me wonder if Google staff actually reads the help section of Blogger.com. If they did wouldn't you be able to see the prevention methods in place for some of the most reoccurring problems put in place? But alas I see none, but what I do see is the same old Blogger issues being posted by 20 different people! This is so frustrating, Google is one of the biggest companies out there(in terms of the internet)but yet trivial problems still plague their faithful users. Stupid Google Blogger, you suck! Get with the program and start paying attention! Do you guys have the same problem with Blogger or does something else about them really grind your gears?
