Hmm, I am about to rent a car for a 2 days trip to out of state, as I check hertz, they have pretty cheap price on the car, around $25.00 to $36.00. I don't need a ultra luxury car, I just need a car to drive with unlimited free mileage. As I check on one place is pretty cheap on the price I listed above. About 2.7 miles, there is another hertz, and their prices are also different, why? As I check on Budget, and Enterprises, they are more expensive in rental price too. I just wonder what would you give advice in renting a car too? Sincerely!

prices are higher in big cities than in others. there might be more business down the road more by one hertz than the other, which is why the rates are higher.

I am not sure about that. Have you rented a car and travel out of state before?

Hey poster, do not go directly with Hertz, Avis or other top brand agencies for rental cars. Do you know why I'm telling you this? Its because theres a really cheaper and more reliable way to get car service. Its through the online travel sites, which are also used to book flights. I repeat that you will waste money if going to agencies, and you will only save if you book cars through sites like Price-Line, Expedia, Travelocity and many others. Same companies will only compete for your money, and upgrading fees are really big through these mortar stores. My advice will help you save thousands of dollars over 20 years.
