Where did you or where are you planning to go for your honeymoon? It's an interesting subject for me as I have never been abroad and I'd like to know where every dreams of spending time after their wedding.

My late husband and i wanted to go to the poconos for our honeymoon. Money wasn't something that we had in abundance. we ended up going to west virginia instead. it was still a romantic time for us. We were able to save enough money to go to the poconos for our first anniversary. We still found a way for the dream to come true.

I view honeymoon places as where lots of young people spend their time. In effect lots of young couples vacation in Hawaii, and it is a tourist attraction. The beaches, resorts and fantastic views are what makes the place a good destination to forge relationships. Countries like South Africa and Australia are a complete no, because such places don't have good infrastructure. Some might go forward to places like these based upon the values that are generated.

My husband and I had a really strange situation, in that we lived in two different countries because of work, and had "separate" 11 days after we got married. LOL The first marriage was in Sedona AZ, where he was working. We eloped, so we could get paperwork done faster, planning to marry later in Canada, where I live, and maybe both live up here. 11 days after our AZ wedding, I had to fly back home. Sedona would be the ideal honeymoon spot for most couples, so for me it was like one nice long vacation. LOL Then he came up here, and we had our Canadian wedding, but a few days after that, he had to fly back home to AZ. Now we are both living up here. Not sure if the back-and-forth thing counts as a honeymoon or not, but we both got to live "elsewhere" for a time, before settling up here. We are planning a trip to Montreal next year.

That sounds very different but if it was nice for you I'm sure it was brilliant? Also very unique I suppose? I must admit Canada is on our list as an idea do you think its honeymoon material for a couple from the UK?

For my honeymoon (should it ever take place) I want to go to some place remote, with little people around (but still with some internet, so I know I have a connection to the world). I've always associated honeymoon with something very romantic that was supposed to help the newlyweds to grow more intimate and get to know each other even better; without much of outside influence. And yes, I realize that it's a rather conservative/traditional view of it, but I can't help it, I'm something of a romantic.

I really hope I can go to Norway for my honeymoon. I have seen many beautiful pictures of this country on the Internet. I really hope I can go there someday.

My partner's cousin lives in norway. He went there for their wedding before we met. I've seen his pictures and he says its as beautiful as it looks. And we have considered it as a destination but because he's been there we thought it would be nice to go somewhere new together. We still haven't decided.
