Hello there mylotters! Well, i'm just wondering about why a human corpse is a lot colder than an animal corpse.. I'm not sure if you guys know what i mean.. Example, when you kill a chicken.. you touched it, it's fine(i mean the temperature), right? But when you touch a human corpse, its so cold and stiff... animals and humans are both living creatures and i wonder why when we die, human corpses are so cold... is there anything in our body that when we die, it turns our skin ice cold? are there any scientific researches about it? I'm just so curious to know this... Have a nice day to all!

This is one of the mysteries human being has. Human is the highest form of an animal. It has many things that animals don't have. One of it is, when a corpse of human being thrown on the ocean why still it floats on the other way animals' corpse don't.

I suppose the human body has more liquid in it than a chicken. So if the air's cold, then heat dissipates even faster from liquid than from solids. Not to mention the chicken feathers too. As to why it's stiff... I'm not really sure. Chicken are raised to be fat and soft and ready to eat, while the more muscular human has had more time to create muscle mass. I'm not really sure about my facts, but they're the ones that come out of the top off my head.

Theres a lot of body and external elements within a chicken or cat that help block excess cold from entering the body. Such animals will do better than us in colder temperatures, as there defense mechanism yield them protection. For us, we only have so little resistance that can be used by skin to ward off cold. Never was it better for us to go outside in winter storms unclothed than any other animals in the world. Its the way we are made that makes us different.
