Caviar seems to be a gourmet and expensive kind of food. What is it made of? How does it taste? I hear it usually goes well with wine. Is kind of a cocktail food?

I do not think I could eat caviar because foods with that texture make me gag and sometimes throw up! It looks jelly-like, and I can't eat jelly.

I'm afraid to try it because its made of fish eggs. Part of me thinks the whole reason I'm afraid is because there are only a few instances where I eat non processed animals. Most of the time I eat meat is when its fish or chicken. Caviar seems to be an expensive and royal food but I'm holding onto my guts when I hear its caviar. There isn't much I can do about it, but I think this phobia has to end. I'm planning on making my wife prepare it without me knowing!

I agree, I think fish eggs would not hurt us. It's more natural and healthier than junk food.

No, i have never tried it. Too expensive for my budget, lol. It is fish eggs & i'm not sure i would like it even if i bought it. It is suppose to really be a delicacy but really doesn't appeal to me.
