Have you tried to send your cellphone to pawnshop as a last resort because you ran out of money and you have no one to ask or borrow for some cash? Do you think it's right to do that? Well, for me, it's not right in a sense that you will pawn it but if your motive is good then go on as long as you will have heart to redeem it. Sometimes, this act is beneficial for us especially if we ran out of our resources... Please share your experience.

i have never tried to pawn anything. i'm scared to do it because i'm afraid that my things wouldn't be taken good care of.

Well dear Adeena! I never had any such occasion in my life so far. for that matter by the grace of God I am well placed and never had a need to pawn any thing so far! But since yours is a hypothetical question, I think I may not pawn my mobile in pawning shops for the following reasons.
1. The shop owner will want a receipt and other documents pertinent to the Phone, which I may not carry all the times with me.
2. The cost of my mobile phone is not very huge and because of which I may not get a good amount after pawning it.
3. The pawn shop people they charge you very high rates of interest, which I may not be in position to afford.
4. Pawn shops are not very common in India like in other Countries.
5.Pawn shop owner will ask several questions to make sure that the phone owned by me is not a stolen one, which I can't face. It will humiliate my Morales.
6. Finally I am a man living in a Society with its own social and cultural values, in our society Pawing is not looked up with respect, though there is nothing wrong in doing so.
Hope got my point by this time why I will not prefer to pawn my mobile phone! Thanks for the discussion which made me to think for a while before answering!
