Do you know how to fix things? Do you fix it when it needs to be fixed?

I had these fitted sheets that just wouldn't stay on the bed so I sewed elastic on the sheets so they would stay on the bed. I just can't stand the sheets not to stay on the bed. So do you know how to fix things? Do you fix them right away? Or do you let it wait till later?

Hi, When it is required to fix things at home I do it mostly on weekends. That could be anyhting from home decoration to my sons project work. I think I try to be as creative as i can in fixing up things. Mostly I do it on my own and for any suggestions and how to do I will rely on internet where I find answers for most of the things. Internet is a place of wisdom a from small petty things to major things we get information on wide variety of things. Internet is playing a very important role in today's life.

Hi Calpro. I have found out how to fix many things from looking on the net. I think it is a good tool to figure out how to do what we all need to do. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Dheerajlko. Me I would rather it be done before it gets too hard to fix. I like things done and ready to use when I want to use them. Thanks for sharing.

If i'm really confident that i can fix something, i fix it. If i'm not, i just leave it broken 'til someone qualified is available to fix it. I learned it the hard way when my previous tv broke. I tried to fix it. I thought i knew what i was doing and it just worsen the problem.

Hi Frontvisions. I couldn't fix a TV either...LOL But I can fix a few things and if I am not sure I can always look it up on the net. I can't seem to figure out how to fix our hot water heater though....LoL So I will have to save money up to get a new one. How ever this may take some time to save so hope it don't get too cold this winter or my husband is going to get sick of going outside to flip the reset button.....LOL

Basically I am like a handyman. I like to keep on tinkering with defective gadgets. I have a bit of knowledge in almost all the day to day needs. Electricals, Plumbing, Carpentry, sewing, scooter maintenance etc. I look after my PC, Laptop also to some extent. Well, normally all simple defects are fixed by me. Of course, I am not professional so I do seek help when I assess the problem is beyond my expertise! One thing I am happy about. Compared to those of my friends, the gadgets in my house run almost trouble free.

Hi Hanuma. It is good to be able to fix things yourself you can save a lot of money that way. We are like you we are knowledgeable in a lot of areas. And it sure helps but some things we just plain don't know how to fix. That is why I love the net we can look up how to fix things ourselves. Heck I started fixing my computer after watching this tech TV show that I used to get. The screen savers and call for help. But I don't get these shows any more so when I need to find something out about my computer I look on the net.

I do fix things immediately but I do make sure that they are on the highest priority list.About your bed,I use rubber bands to tie each ends of the sheet. It is much easier.:D

Hi Highschoolrazors and welcome to my lot. Never thought about using rubber bands. Am a seamstress and know how to sew so it seemed the best thing I could do. It is always wise to try and fix our own stuff so we don't have to call someone else to do it for us. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Acrossnation. You shouldn't feel bad you are not a bad person. You can't fix broken relationships they can only be fixed by the people that are involved . Don't feel bad about what you couldn't do feel good about that you tried to do something.

Hi Surfermac. I have always been one when something is not working I try to fix it. Sometimes I can and other times I have to look on the net how to fix things. If we don't fix it then like you said who cares.
