Hi majorroald, If you can take everybody outside to play, you can try a kite-flying expedition. Unfortunately for me, it's late autumn here and too cold for that, but in the summer, the whole family has a blast with it... Adults bring materials and build the kites (and usually argue for hours about them), and children just have fun with them. We also organize what we call a "cook appreciation day". It's basically just everybody getting together to eat a home cooked meal, but children are involved in the cooking part, and the rule of thumb is - every has to eat and nobody is allowed to criticize After the meal we usually play some board games, cards or backgammon.

Yeah that is also a very good idea but here in the netherlands it is winter and very cold i think kite-flying isnt something cools to do then but i think we go do some things like make a fire without lightter and thing like that to have fun. But in the summer it is a really good idea kite-flying!

I would suggest that you go back to nature, one of the best things i did with my family is to go fishing, a place where any beginner no matter what age can catch a fish cause it's a private pond and the fishes are ready for the taking (tilapia) , people of all ages will love this especially if you have not yet caught your first fish in your whole life, you will see that glow in your children's eyes when they get that first catch of their life , take their pictures, it's something that will stay with them for life and tell thei friends. Also in that place you get to cook what you catch in an open charcoal grill, so the stories they tell of the adventure is endless, expect them to tell you that they would like to go back in that place again.
