How far will you go to help someone else!

My husband and I have this "old world" attitude to go beyond "the call of duty" to help others. Whether that be friend, neighbor, family, employer, coworker, customer, whatever. My husband works on the service side of an international manufacturer. He's been known to be the "go to" guy for help. His boss has told him to slow down or he will have a heart attack. I used to do customer service for major financial institutions. Customers used to ask for me by name to help them. Now my husbands employer want's everyone to justify their time, and sign in at 8am whether they've been working since 7 or not. As if they think their employees have been and will be cheating the company. Customer service went away too. It is more important to act like a machine when dealing with customers and ask them three times to sign on to a new product. It's all been outsourced to India because it's cheap labor. I think they are all missing the point! What do you think!

Sometimes a company must learn the hard way. Customer service is everything. If they don't take care of customers, they will wake up to discover they don't have any.

Too true! The customer is the reason they exist. They forgot that.
