A few years ago i was working at Nurseing home, i loved the job and did not want to quit, however in the end i had no choice in the matter due to health problems.Well, my grandad is in the home getting rehab, as he has had his hip pinned as he had a fracture. My mother got chatting to a lady who is head there and my mother said that i use to work there, next thing i know i get told that i needed to go to the home today to see my grandad,as i was praised up by the head of the home to my mother and my grandad,as i worked a few nights with this woman.I had a great chat with the head of the home and i really miss the job, here is wishing i was still working there.Places you miss, even if it is work.

hi jj, i used to work in a legal office for 13 years. i felt i need a new kind of job hence i resigned. in this new job, i still get a bit of legal works like contracts and affidavits, and so on. then i get to come across my ex boss in the court when i go there to deliver some pleadings and other documents. ex boss said that after my working stint with his office, he never had any secretary who stayed more than a year. told him to transfer office, because probably the girls feels it is like haunted there. (only one office on the second floor). am the only one who is quite brave enough to sing when i was a little afraid. with that he laughed. said i have a great sense of humor. first time he made a nice compliment. thats why i got bored there. ann

I miss working period! I felt more like I had a purpose and was contributing to society more. However, I do like that I don't have to get up on cold winter mornings, or go anywhere if I am feeling sick. I did have one job that I really liked, and they had to downsize like everyone else, and I got laid off. It was for a mortgage company and when the rates would go up, everyone got laid off, but then it would pick up and we would all be back. I kept in touch with the people that I worked with for awhile, but then we didn't have anything in common anymore and drifted apart like people do. The company was bought by someone else, and the people I worked with are all gone now, so I am sure it wouldn't be the same.

I get a very nice feeling when I visit the places where I use to work. Cannot describe such a feeling which we get when we get into such places. Is this happens to everyone I was wondering. We miss those places so much it is immaterial how long we stayed there at such place. Such a nice feeling. We miss each and every moment we spent there. Me, from the time I reach and till I leave, I miss those days totally.

YEah, i always have the tendency to revisit my old work place. haha =D I'm there either to visit my ex colleagues or juts to see how my bad manager is doing, whether he's being sacked or transferred out etc.. lol =D More than often, i have good relations with everybody in my work place except for one, so it's more like having good intentions when i visited them.. hehe

Hiya jugs, I have managed to get back to visit three places where I used to work and I found myself wishing the same thing. But you cannot turn back the Clock in that sense. But I did enjoy talking to them all and seeing them again. I have one or two great Friends from there along the Road. It´s nice if you can go back and see them but for me nothing more than that. I am used to doing what I am doing now. These are Jobs I had while I was in England before and after getting Married. Hope your Granddad is better ow then.

I can see where people feel they missed a job especially if they so truly enjoyed it. I for one absolutely loved where I last worked as I did work there for so long and did really well. Unfortunately we all got kicked to the curb then the one of the owners robbed the business blind. None of us received even unemployment. Causing me to lose a lifetime of hard work and earnings. So if could be a place I so miss, but after how we were treated in the end I do not think so. After all, none of us did anything wrong but yet we all lost out big time. Glad to hear it was a very pleasant place for you. Who knows maybe someday you may be able to return, health permitting.

I have spent way more on attorneys then what I would ever get back. I had to give up as the attorney fees were so unbearable. It was a difficult decision but I ran out of money.

It's always nice to go back to my high school and university. In my high school, our good old guard is still there. He's the guard for as long as I can remember. When my friends and I were able to visit there, we were surprised and thankful that he still remembers our names, even after the years, and the thousands of students that study there every year.^_^ However, the buildings are the same but then again they're not. I guess there would always be some change to a place over the years but when you come back, you'll always see it as how you lived in it, along with the people that you've experienced that place with. As for my university, it hasnt changed that much. I only have graduated March of this year so things are still fairly the same. They're renewing the roads which is a good thing. But the buildings and the people are the same as how I remember them.

It sounds like a very rewarding job. I can’t say that I miss any of the jobs I’ve had in the past! There are not too many places I do miss actually because I feel so happy where I am right now and even my home town in Italy where I grew up and lived until I was ten holds no special memories. I think I am creating my good memories right now!

A little over five years ago I was working at a local hospital as a nursing assistant. Well, I quit working there because of the fact that I'd hurt my back at work. Earlier this year Tom was admitted to the same hospital when he had to have an emergency kidney stone surgery. As I was walking up to the floor where he was, I ran into one of the nurses that I used to work with and it really made me feel nostalgic for the time that I spent as an employee there.

I think one may be veritably old when he/she recalls the past frequently. However, several years ago,I often revisted the schools I had studied.

I used to work for a small company with 20 people supplying a bigger company. I kept moving up in the organization, until I couldn't go anywhere anymore. So, finally I quit that job and moved on to the customer company. In this new job of mine, I handle suppliers. And on occassion I go to my previous job and give them he11 for screwing up some of our orders. It's all fun when I go there though. I try to be stern, but they all know me too well. I get the job done and it gives me time to reminisce with the guys. Sometimes I miss that job, when everything was so simple.

Sometimes I miss the company I worked with. I remember the things we do. And miss the company of co-employees. And the good leaders I have. I recently visit the company, some things are changed and improved.

I do visit my old workplace too. I'm just there to visit my colleagues or bringing my friends over for lunch and more. I've always like the ambience of the place, and going back there is also a form of catching up with ex colleagues. There's a reason to why i left that job and i can't help it. I do miss the days of working alongside them, and whenever i see them so busy, i wanted to help but i remind myself, i'm a their customer now.

i haven't visited my workplace again after i had been laid off about a month ago... i don't think i will ever go back to my workplace as it is just too painful for me... good on you for having such a good relationship with the people you used to work with... also, the praise... take care and have a nice day...

It can be hard to quit a job you love. But like you said, sometimes there is no other option. If you are working an internship you don't always have the luck that you can stay working there after graduation either, and sometimes that means working in a workplace for about a year and after that you need to search for work elsewhere. I quit a job because I was looking for more developement in a different area of expertise, but I had great friends in my last workplace. I still talk to them on the phone every now and then and once I went back to chat with my former colleagues. It was very nice.

I remember my family being asked to help one of my dads friend's pack some boxes in his house, and move them to another place for charity. had no idea we were moving the stuff to the old middle school I used to go to. It was weird seeing one of my old teachers still working there. The principal still rubs me the wrong way, and the cafeteria still smelled like coleslaw.

I do not miss any of the places where I have worked. If I were to miss some place where I used to work, I would just go and visit there. I am sure that it would be much more fun to be at the place as a visitor instead of an employee anyway. It is always more fun to be a visitor at a place rather than a worker there.
