Research reveals that pangolins, sloths and gibbons have their genome sequenced. National Human Genome Research Institute in bethesda, Maryland published a different list of species that include 9 mammals. They are pangolin, megabat, sloth, northern white-cheeked gibbon, 13-lined ground squirrel, bushbaby, tree shrew, hyrax and microbat. The purpose is to analyze human genome with mammals to recognize shared or conserved DNA sequences. Theoretically, conserved DNA have remained is different species because they have a vital function. low-hanging quality drafts were required for this study. Gibbons were selected for a distinct reason. Its DNA occurs to undergo ten times as many gene rearrangements as other apes. Because such rearrangements also face by patients with cancer and other ailments, the research on gibbons could disclose the causes of disease.
