At first glance, it’s the best camera that will suit your budget (for only $ 130 ) with a 14 mp and 15x zoom capability,you wouldn’t take a second thought of trying the camera. I always wanted to have a SLR but just too expensive for my budget. I always have the eyes of a pro. I love looking at pictures and criticize every pixilated part or undefined part of a picture. I always wanted to try one and maybe try engaging into professional photography. And so, there it goes, the GE X5 camera, maybe the one that will fulfill my dream of finally having one “like SLR” camera. And so I bought one. I took pictures and excitedly uploaded it to my computer. And walah! The pictures I took which are somewhat very clear in the cameras LCD, got smoky ends and blurry, though there are times its clear, but more times that it’s not. And I become frustrated; I maybe just had high expectation for the camera. My best solution, just not to waste my hard earn money just to buy this type of camera,I went to the store where I bought it and tried exchanging it to a new one which they did after 2 hours of waiting. And then, I took pictures again and uploaded into my PC. This time the pictures are clear and the shots are good. Though not comparable to SLR cameras, but it’s better than the other one. GE X5 is good in taking close range picture, not using the zoom option. When you try taking pictures at farther range and use the zoom option, you will have to deal with seeing disaster shots that you don’t even want to see.
