dvd or blue ray?

DVD offers more clear picture and more capacity than VCD. Now a days VCD are 99% gone out. This danger also seems to be applicable to DVD. The next generation disc Blue ray offers highest picture and sound quality and also offers great capacity than DVD.
It is true that blur ray disc will definitely take over than dvd. Do u think how long will it take for blue ray technology to take over dvd's. Do u also think that dvd will survive in the competion of advanced blue ray technology?

To go with the new and best is human perspective indeed. More space and efficiency have made the limelight on D V D's fade away to replace it with the current era's Bluray disks. More clarity and better encoding of video files with perfect synchronized audio and video makes these new type disk best and readily acceptable, except for current price tag, these disks rock on to many levels of entertainment.
The time that the take over ceremony begins is very near as the implementation of these disks with the hardware is necessary the market will be shining with these combination.
