Boeing/Sikorsky RAH-66 Comanche was the US army advanced military attack helicopter for armed reconnaissance role and was the first stealth helicopter ever built. In this US$ 6.9 billion development program US army built only two of them and test flighted them in 1996. Its design was specialized to conduct reconnaissance, Air to surface, Air to air, Chemical warfare, nuclear warfare and stealth roles. It has two powerful LHTEC T800 turboshaft engines, 5 blades on main rotor, body made of composite radar absorbent materials for stealth capabilities, retractable weapon stations with weapons carried in internal bay to reduce heat signatures and was also designed to designate targets for the current world's No.1 Attack helicopter AH-64 Apache. Its specifications were more appreciable. It carries 2 crew (pilot & Co Pilot), Maximum speed upto 201 mph (324 km/h), Range of 300 mi, Ferry range upto 1430 mi, Service ceiling upto 4500m and can carry weopons from XM301 three-barrel cannon Turreted Gun System with 500round capacity, Internal bays with 6 Hellfires or 6 Stingers or 24 Hydra 70 2.75 in (70 mm) air-to-ground rockets and Optional stub wings with 8 Hellfire 16 Stinger or 56 x Hydra 70 air-to-ground rockets.
