Talent Shows Have Gone Downhill Since This Guy Came Along

How I love Kurt Nilsen, the guy in the video shown below. When he sang "Beautiful Day" I remember saying to Mum, "This is better than U2's version!" and it is too. This is why he won, even beating our very own Will Young.
I bought two of Kurt's albums, the first one "I" then "A Part of Me" and there may be more but funds don't allow for CDs these days. Both CDs are awesome but I'd love to see the guy perform live, this is where he's at his best I reckon.
Anyway, since Pop Idol/World Idol we've had that hideous X Factor, a show so devoid of any soul, it makes me weep. It's all about the judges now and I'm sick of hearing about the shocks each week. Why are people so surprised? It's how the world works now. People who can't sing that well win! Matt SHOULD win but won't because, eventually, he'll get a crap song to sing (on purpose) so he'll get voted out. Mum will be gutted but it will happen, I can guarantee it.
Hope you like Kurt as much as I do. He rocks! By the way, he's Norwegian if you didn't know that already!

I've never heard of Kurt Nilsen but that was pretty awesome and puts all other contestants in the shade. But the sad thing is if he was on the X-Factor the chances are Simon Cowell wouldn't like him because he's not commercial in the same sense of Lady Gaga which is quite obvious is what he is looking for this year.
As for the X-Factor well this years show is a load of rubbish and it's not because the acts can't sing as for the most they can. Nope it is the judges who are ruining things by their constant snipes and the fact that it appears to me to be a complete and utter fix. You just had to watch last weeks result show and Louis Walsh's furtive glances to start questioning whether things are not as they appear.
Although on a serious note I would love Matt to win because he definitely can sing in a strange way I would love to see Wagner win because it puts Simon Cowell in an awkward situation.

You've only got to see who is on the panel to realise that they're all talking b*llocks. I mean, Cheryl Cole and Danii Minogue aren't exactly world class are they so that rings alarm bells for a start lol.
I only watch X-Factor when I'm at Mum's and it's hard not to see stuff about it online either. Both Mum and me love Matt as, like you say, he can sing..but after that talentless Jedward doing far better than they should (was that in 'Britain's Got Talent' or 'X-Factor' they're all the same now...) anything can happen.
I only hope it's not Matt and Wagner in the final..now that WOULD be totally unfair!!
