How would you feel if your friend accidentally paralyzed you for life?

I read this story the other day about a bride-to-be who was tragically paralyzed after her best friend pushed her in the pool. This was a prank, of course. The bride-to-be said she and her friend would do this all the time, so it wasn't meant to be on purpose. But now the bride-to-be is paralyzed. Probably for life. And this paralysis is from neck down so she can barely move! I can't even begin to imagine the amount of guilt that her friend must feel. She caused her best friend to go through paralysis. How would you feel on both sides? Being the friend and/or the victim?

Man, what a tragic story. However, I am living in a similar story. My son was riding with a friend and his friend pulled out in front of an oncoming vehicle he did not see. My son has a traumatic brain injury. His friend was at fault and I know he feels bad. It has been two years and my son is just now waking up and starting to move slightly on his own...

If I was the bride to be, then I don't think I would feel differently for my friend, after all, it was an accident. And even if it wasn't, when it concerns friends, I am not that revengeful. However if I were the friend, I would of course feel guilty and regret but woudn't show it as it would just make the rest of our lives worse. It was an accident, and sometimes in life these things happen without us being able to intervene.

That's what you say now because it didn't happen to you. I can't imagine that you wouldn't be upset with your friend, Accident or not she pushed her into the pool so because of her the girl is now paralyzed that's pretty extreme whether it was done routinely or not.

Oh wow...that's really sad. For the friend's side...I would definitely feel guilty for what I did. I would try to do everything to make my friend's life better. As for the bride...I would be mad...I think that's no denying it. But of course I'll forgive my bestfriend.

gahh!...this is so damn complicated!..if i were the bride-to-be, i would blame God for giving me this kind of 'new lesson' in life..kidding, well hell ya this is so complicated. I may get a bit angry with my friend..but the anger would never change anything..and i know she didn't do it with purpose and if i were the friend who pushed the bride-to-be..of course i would feel the loads of guilt inside me..that i would do anything, anything she wants..huhh!..

For me it would be a accident if your friend is the cause of it you feel not too bad because you are to know who is the cause of everything of that time.
