What is the effect of movies on youth, Is it Bad or Good

I must agree with you that everything can have a positive or a negative effect on someone especially if they are very young. It can also depend on (as what has been stated by the first response) what kind of movie are they watching and most movies today have ratings on who can watch these kinds of films. Although I must say that eventhough there are lots of restrictions as to who can watch it in the cinemas, if it gets released on TV or on DVD, anyone can watch it. I guess it all comes down to how these youngsters are brought up really. How their family affects and influences their way of thinking and how they should react to these famous celebrities and the movies that are shown on cinemas (which contain bad influences) that matters. Some young people today can be misguided or not guided at all by the people in their family so they start to idolize theses celebrities and adapt to their bad influences, but some youngsters can be guided well by their parents, siblings and friends who teach and advice them on what is wrong and not.

it depends on the movie theyr watching.... sometimes there are movies with parental guidance required, especially those action movies. youth are now becoming violent base on what they saw in that movie, they tend to immitate it. some are really inspiring movie though... movies easily sink in the youths mind, thats why its also the old ones responsibility to guide them while wathching. bad and good are both movie effects on the youth ones.

Hello, the effect is totally depends on the nature of movie. Every movie has its good impact i some circumstances and bad impact in some situation. A movie, good for the youth, may be harmful for teen aged.
