I think it would be interest to know the difference between the people in North America(including USA and Canada)and the people from Europe. Frankly speaking, I don't think they have any differences in terms of color and the way they eat . I don't know because Canada is a multi-cultural country that welcome people from all culture and while I was still living in there, I can encounter people from all different kinds of culture. They seems to be getting along well. But I am not sure what will happen in the United States and the people who are living in Europe. What do think about their differences. Share with us.

I am not a big expert on American and Canadians, but they seem much more patriotic than Europeans, in general. Also, they are not as into some of the culture that is big in Europe (ballet, opera etc. Not the majority of people anyway). And the North American countries are melting pots where all kinds of people live together, while Europeans are not as mixed yet, in many countries. But I think Europeans are beginning to be more mixed as well, so maybe that will change in the future. I also think consuming and having a lot of stuff is more important in the States specifically, compared to Europe. But the Europeans smoke and drink more and have tons of unhealthy habits (not related to food).

I think Europeans are more laid back than North American's. Euro's believe in the dolce vita whereas those in teh America's work, work and work some more. It's also about what you want out of life and what system you are living within. Europeans tend to get more vacation time, more focused on leisure and the family whereas in North America, such things are not as readily available. Good vacation time at a company is 3 weeks 9and that's if you've worked ther efor like 5 years) so the focus here is more on production than on leisure.

I see some standards as being different. When I worked at the amusement park I found European women more friendly without the stigma attached of being around someone of a different race. One shocking thing I noticed was the bathroom concept. At the amusment park we have "mens" dorms that I lived in. The women had no problems coming into our men's restrooms. One incident I'll never forget is a coworker that came into our shower room when I was getting ready to shower. I've since learned that European unisex bathroom stalls are different from American bathroom stalls. The European stalls go all the way down to the floor. Yet that was a very shocking lesson for me.
