It's been a little bad day for me. I woke up with pain in my throat. I have already gargle saline solution which lessens the pain but not totally healed my sore throat. Maybe I have to repeat gargling few more times and everyday until the sore in my throat gone. I' going to asked my sister to buy me lozenges. Hope it improves much better. Actually I rarely got fever or cough in a year. But I just observed I easily get sore throat because of overuse of my voice. I promise myself not to talk too much again.Everything I want to say I'll just write here in mylot. How abut you ? How often do yo get sore throat? How do you manage that?

Hi Mayrah, Thanks, for reaching out. :O) Nothing's right for everybody, of course, but I've had a lot of success with this, as have many of my friends. Get some dried sage leaves. By the way, if you have access to grocery stores where Arabic is spoken, you can get these for a very low price. A bag about the size of half a loaf of bread is usually less than $4. But they may call it "metra-mee-ya." (I'm spelling it phonetically). Anyway, if the leaves are one inch long or smaller, use two or three to make a cup of tea (an "infusion" is the technical term, as tea is the name of a particular plant). First thing you'll want to do is dust the leaves of any crumbs. Sage leaves tend to crumble in the bag and any particles like that tend to irritate the throat. Then, if you use the microwave, put a cup of pure water in for two-and-a-half minutes (or just less than boiling) and then drop-in the two or three leaves. If you use the stove-top, go ahead and boil water. As soon as it's actually boiling, pour it into a cup--right over the two or three leaves. Microwave or stove-top, cover the cup of hot water and leaves with a saucer. Let it steep for seven to ten minutes. In your case, I suggest ten minutes. Pull the leaves out (You can use them again, three times, so let them dry & store them, if you wish). Drink the "tea" hot (but not so hot as to burn yourself). I suggest you avoid sweetening it. I'm used to drinking tea black, but even if you're not, I strongly suggest you drink it black. If you must sweeten it, I suggest a little honey or a LITTLE sugar. Sorry, if you're into three spoonfuls, you'll irritate your throat. So take no more than a teaspoon, Okay? In any case, STAY AWAY from any artificial sweeteners. (They're all diabolically dangerous, anyway). If you're like me & most of my friends who've tried it, you'll be shocked at how quickly this works! :D Sunshine & Blessings, Giovani

Gargling a little salt water is fine, but if there's no change after a few times of the rinse you should try something else. Honey with lemon juice in hot water works nicely for a sore throat. Ah, the peaceful quietness of you not exercising your voice...

A sore throat is a common and minor in which the back of the throat becomes irritated in most cases. Sore throat comes basically from virus or bacterial infection, but we people think it's coz of talking too much or something. The best cure for throat sore is " Garlic oil " which relieves swallowing difficulties. Couple of drops in a quarter cup of water daily ^_^ Hope you get better soon.
