I had heard about consuming foods like, some food should be consumed immediately, some can be kept for 6 to 8 hours like rice, vegetable, Chicken, etc. some can be kept for even 1 days to 3-4 days and consumed when stored in good required conditions or refrigerators depending upon food. Some can be kept for even months under preserved conditions like refrigerators or as stated by the manufacturer if purchased from shops like pickle, honey, nuts, etc...
What about Tea? Within how many hours from its preparation should we consume it before it get spoiled up or causes indigestion or even food poisoning? Can it be preserved in refrigerator so as we can use even after 10 hours? Simply, can it be consumed after 12hours of preparation?

I think I can't drink that kind of tea. I like drinking tea just minutes after I have prepared it. I like drinking it hot. If not, it should be chilled with ice. Other than that, I can't drink. It's either extremely hot, or extremely cold.

Yeah rajiv22, I'm told to take fresh food and beverage prepared all the time. It's said taking edible stuffs prepared for quite some time is not good to our health as they are oxidized for exposing to air for too long. The food and drink that gone bad are not that delicious too. We were advised not to take overnight tea since childhood as well as overnight leftover. Therefore we make the required amount of tea only whenever we have tea. It's believed that this might provide germs opportunity to breed and to produce toxin at the same time. For the sake of health we finish all the tea prepared and don't keep any in the fridge

I'd like to know the answer myself. It is an herb/leaf, so I would imagine the 12 hour mark would be safe, but not sure about 24 hours, unless you put it in the fridge. I always have a cup of tea in my hand, and quite often it gets cold but I drink it anyway, lol.
