Black cat superstition... do you believe in it?

Well we stopped burning accused 'witches' at the stake years ago so i dont know why people still believe about the cats. I've never had anything odd happen to me and theres loads of black cats near where i live.

My mom use to tell a story about her uncle who had a black cat cross the road in front of him. He stopped the car and chased that cat around a field until he caught it and put the cat back on the other side of the road. I am so glad I'm not that worried if one crosses in front of me.

If you have become attached with it, then there is no problem. One time, I heard meowing and screeching sounds at 5AM in the morning. I looked out into my back yard door and found a black cat that was really scaring me. It seemed really frightening to see this cat and made me in real anguish. That whole day, I got scared and just slept most of the time. I feel that all my sadness and over sleeping was just a superstition made from seeing a cat that was dark. I hope that your experience helps me to get attached with black cats.

No, I don't believe in that superstition. I just feel... Well... BAD for the black cats that get tortured in the streets because of their fur color! It's not like they wanted to be born black!
