At 18 November 2010, my baby was born. Male, 49 cm and 3.1 kg of weight. But on my baby there is mark on his arm. This marks quite a lot in the left wrist. Dermatologist doctors still can not conclude what the cause. But she said this is not dangerous. She said this sign/mark can be removed with laser therapy. But i'm still to wait until baby grow. Because laser therapy cannot apply for baby, because the skins of baby still thin. Althought that, I'm very very happy because the doctors says my baby is full healthy. One week after that, i ask to a doctor from Laser Therapy center in my country. He said this is a mongolian spot, it will dissapear itself by the time of growth. I hope this will be true. :) Anyone of mylot user, have seen this before. Share here.

Birthmarks are something that is very common for babies to have and most of the time they are nothing that you should worry about. Both of my children were born with strawberries on the back of their necks and to this day if you look for them, they are still there. I have never considered having laser or plastic surgery for either of them to remove their birthmarks although I know there are a lot of parents that opt to do this.

By the sounds of it, it may just be a birth mark. If it's big and buldgy I would keep an eye on it over time. All my children have marks on their body when they were born and over the years they have gotten smaller. Personally I do not think it is anything to worry about. If your still worried about it bring it up to the doctors over and over. Nobody knows their child better then the mother.

Congratulations for you to have a love baby. It is just a superstition. I heard people say that marks are brought into this life from last life.

it is still too early pal so i think you should trust the doctor that it will fade. if ever it doesnt i am sure the dermatologist can take care of it once your baby grows.

It sounds to me like what we call a birth mark, there should be no need for surgery as they often go less as the baby grows. My granddaughter had a large one on her shoulder when she was born and it was quite unsightly, but she is five now and it has almost disappeared. Congratulations on the birth of your new son, enjoy him!!

My youngest has a dent on his knee. It's not really a mark, but it looks like a tiny scar. he has had it since he was born. The doctors say it's nothing so I don't mind. We always joke that we were given damaged goods, that maybe we should see if we can return him for a brand new model lol. I love him though, flaws and all. He is an adorable child. Congratulations on the new baby! I hope I get the chance to have more kids one day, they are awesome and I am an awesome dad =)
