Is selection of Umesh Yadav for SA tour fair?

Recently when i saw the Indian squad for SA i was really surprised to see Umesh Yadav in the team .I wonder what Umesh Yadav has done to earn this selection.Yes he bowls with pace but is he good enough to get SA batsman out? is he good enough to replace Zaheer , Ishant or Sreesanth in case of an injury? well i think RP Singh is a better choice after his superb performances in England , Perth and Kingsmead .I would say Indian selectors made a blunder , plz share your views.

actually i am indeed surprised.he was on the tour to zimbabwe which isn't far off from south african condition and his performance wasn't at best against such team.
the surprise was why not included RP?
to ppl who remember the last tour of england,he and zaheer were such a pair in those conditions.
and i dont believe none of you would have forgot his 4/14 against proteas in world cup in south africa.
he is a natural swing bowler and should have been in the squad
