How do you think about long distance?

One of my girlfriends recently knew a guy.He is working in anohter city which is far away from my girlfriend's.They love each other but it's a problem for them to meet each other in real life.She wants my suggestion now and I'm not sure what should I say.
How do you think about long distance?If you are the heroine,will you try long distance?

I'm not 100% sure if I get what you're saying. They love each other but it's a problem for them to meet each other in real life so have they met each other in real life before? Long distances are hard to work out but my sister and her now husband were in a long distance for like 8 years and everything worked out fine! They are now happily married for a year and half already :) It depends on the couple and if they want to work things out. There are other alternatives where you can webcam and talk on the phone, chat communicate then once a month or twice meet each other? It depends on the couple!

Going for visual relationship is not that easy...I'm not trying to scare you but, rather, i'm trying to widen your eyes to the overall situation!! your friend has to be super careful with that...they should try to at least meet up as it would never work well if they end up meeting online! they should have a very strong foundation of TRUST!!
