Do you think Michael Jackson was guilty?

This is a two part question. 1) Do you think Michael Jackson was guilty? Why/Why not? 2) Do you think Amanda Knox is guilty? Why/Why not? They both had strange cases with peculiar behaviour and false allegations and implied confessions and insufficeint DNA evidence. Michael Jackson slept with children in his bed (a little peculiar - but understandable if he were playing their father figure). He did settle one case out of court (which implies admitted guilt - though that kid came forward after his death and said Michael was innocent). Amanda Knox had falsely accused someone, and also confessed to something, but later denied it, saying she was under pressure from the interrogation. She did cartwheels at the interrogation (a little peculiar - but understandable if just finding a roommate savagely murdered and undergoing intense holed up interrogation). Please answer on both parts, baring in mind that false confessions and wrongful convictions do occur.

Amanda Knox...I really don't know enough about that case to form an opinion. Micheal Jackson....hard to say. I will say that it is odd that he has been accused twice. Still, who knows. He was an odd character. I can see settling out of court as the court case was costing him a ton of money for defense lawyers and all. It was getting dragged out and does not always mean imnplied guilt. Could have been damage control. The publicity was hurting him as wor ilty ell as the financnd was so scial aspects. The 2nd time around was just sketchy. Who would leave their child with someone who had already been accused to begin with? I actually questrioned the mothers parenting judment on that one. I don't know if he was guilty or innocent on that one but because of the other case and the fact that he wasn't cleared would be enough to keep me rom even considering leaving my kids there.

I don't actually believe that Michael Jackson was guilty. He slept with children because he was a child himself. Settling out of court does not make him guilty. He had the money, and simply did not want the publicity and the hassle of fighting it in court. His lawyers could have cost him as much as the settlement. It is important to regard someone as innocent until proven guilty. Otherwise, there is no point in having a justice system. If you have some money, you can buy some people silence, but you cannot buy everyone. And if you do buy someone, you are setting yourself up to be blackmail each time that person needs more money. It is really not as easy as people think. You cannot get away with muder just because you have some money. It is very likely that Michael Jackson was the victim in all this. Victim of the greed of the child parents. And victim of the SVU on a mission of God.

I was all for giving Mike the benefit of the doubt the first go 'round. But then it happened again. Hell, I don't know. But it was all a bit strange. His home was like the pedo dream world. Hypothetically, if you wanted to get kids over to your home, what could be better than putting in a carnival-slash-zoo!? Every van-driving, candy-offering freakazoid on the planet slapped themselves in the head and shouted "If only I had his money!" The guy was so incredibly weird that I don't think anyone can really grasp his psychology. The multiple surgeries, the medications, the ranch, the sleeping with kids, the faux marriages, the white chick with the white kid -- W-E-I-R-D! Ron White said it best, and I'll poorly paraphase it: "Police found a life-sized Boy Scout doll in a hidden compartment in Michael's closet. Now, I don't know what he was doing with it. But if you found a life-sized doll of a woman in my closet, you would think I was f'n it. And you'd be right." I don't know that much about the Amanda Knox case.

i don't think so, one of the "abused" boys turned 16 and said his father told him when he was younger to alleg michael jackson abused him and plus, why would the parents accept money to take away charges, what kind of parents would do that to whom abused their own children? the types who know it wasn't true

Amanda Knox, I am just not sure. Michael Jackson? I think he was a gentle but strange man. He does not fit as a pedophile. He did settle one case by paying off the boy (the boy's family, actually) but he said at the time he just wanted it to end, and if that cost him money, it was okay. I believed him. He was, as you say, peculiar, but I just can't equate his quirks with criminal behavior.
