How do you fight second hand smoke?

Second hand smoke has been found to be harmful especially to children. What do you do or plan to do besides not smoking at all which is pretty obvious to lessen the ill effect if smoking cannot be avoided when say you have guests and family members who smoke. For me I added an extra exhaust fan and placed some indoor house plants in the living room and rest rooms, what about you,tell us your actions and your plans.

If no one in your household is a smoker, then you should not permit guests to your home to smoke while they are in your home. You could offer an ashtray on your porch or deck so that they aren't smoking inside the house. Then, when they get done smoking, you can ask that they wash their hands upon returning to the house. That is the best suggestion that I can make to lessen the effects of second hand smoke in your home.

But don't you think doin that i mean telling guests is kinda rude? Hehe anyway maybe the home owners have the final say when it comes to safety, maybe it's subjective from culture to culture, I do not know but anyway that's a good answer.

No on in the house smokes anymore- but when I'm outside many people smoke. To fight it..I don't really fight it , I just avoid it or cover my nose and mouth... 
Just stay away from smoking people- if he or she is a close friend I'll tell them to stop...

Thankfully I do not have anyone in my family who smokes in the house. They all go outside to smoke so that they won't harm others who choose not to smoke. I do have some houseplants that I like to keep mostly to keep the air clean. I just need to get some more! I will not go into a facility that allows smoking inside. I won't eat in any place that has a "designated smoking area" as that is ridiculous!
