have you hear about nano technology? i have hear about it just a little bit. in my opinion, that technology is simple but we need an extra hardwork to make it true. some of them developed from a simple idea. have you watch doraemon? yeah, a placenta robot that putted into our body to cure us is just like that. a simple idea can make a bigger achievement. who knows? lets do our best ! ^_^

I agree, nano tec has a lot of potential. But as with every new tecnology there are both chances and risks. What about nanites for example. Imagine those things could repair our bodies from within but they could perhaps also turn into ''nano'' viruses (there's a STNG episode where that happens :D). Also there are nano particles that can damage cells if they get into our body. Although the material itself may be non-toxic it could become so if it is dispersed as nano particles: http://ncmls.org/learn-about/science-in-triangle/carbon-nanotubes http://nanowerk.com/news/newsid=12209.php

well nano technology is the future.China has already has a firm grasp on this field and now we are looking for it. It is the field which deals with how to make the things compact ,smaller and more efficient. It is the combination of Information technology and electronics discipline.

Well, so far there has only been 1 real thing they've been able to do with nanotechnology, and thats to make carbon nano tubes. Carbon can fit together very perfectly, because it's base form is in an exact hexagon, and it can bind with other hexagon shaped carbon molecules, perfectly. In the end, you're making a tube, which is thinner then a human hair, easily bendable, but the strongest material in the world. It's pretty awesome, but in the end, you're really making a string... a very strong string, but still just a string. It also takes a very long time, and is very difficult to make that string into anything... I've never even seen something like a shirt that's made completely from carbon nano-tubes. They say we might be able to, one day, make an elevator to space with carbon nano tubes, because they're strong enough to lift a massive weight, including the weight of itself, up into space... but it would take so long just to make a string that big, and the concept has so many other problems, that it's even a long ways into the future. Nanotechnology has loads of great ideas behind it, but so far, it's just ideas. We'll see what happens when they can do a bit more with it... but that might be a long, long time into the future.
