Have you ever made something for someone?

Okay, holidays are coming up as for special occasions too. December's coming around soon and I was thinking of giving someone special a picture I drew of us. I'm kind of nervous with wanting to give it to them though I've been dating them for a long time and our Anniversary is coming up. I'm also going to serenade him like I did once just to help make his day better. I was wondering has anyone here made something for someone special in your life? If so, what was their reaction? And how did it make you feel? Has anyone ever made anything for you? I'm pretty sure when you were younger you at least made something for your parents, grand parents, brother, sister, aunt, uncle, etc. Please I'd like to hear your story to help inspire others with this gift giving season (it can also be any season or holiday even a birthday or random occasion).

I once mad 19 poems for my love when she celebrate her 19th birthday. I do it in 19 days. She loved it, of course. I make all those love poems just to show her how much I love her. Unfortunately, she's not mine. She belonged to her boyfriend. I'm just her admirer. Very stupid admirer, lol. But, that's sweet memory. I can hardly forget that...

Awwwe.. Yea, we all had our fair share of being someone's admirers... Good times though. :P But hey, I'm pretty sure you'll do something just as creative as that for someone who'd dearly love you back one day. n_n It happens unexpectedly. But thanks for sharing that.

Hi, I can't recall back whether I ever made something for someone special in my whole life. But I remembered clearly,my husband make a card for me (handmade card) for my birthday. it was a special gift for me. We were still dating at that point of time and I was so happy to receive this card from him. How I wish I will make something special for him too since his birthday is coming soon... Probably make a cheesecake for him..is it special gift too?

I've composed a song before and gave it to someone. Although it wasn't for the holidays. She was so happy to hear even though it had some flaws. I guess love really does something to everyone.

n_n well, you composed something for her which means you made it from the heart. :) She's very lucky to have someone who can do that for her. Not all guys have special musical talents. As for flaws, it don't matter because she loved that you tried your best and it was dedicated for her. That's lovely thanks for sharing that. :)

A small card? Did you write something special inside and drew a picture at the front?

I sew my 2nd slice of cake and gave it to my teacher on teacher's day. She don't seem to have any reaction... but well, i guess she's happy in her heart...? Next, I sew another slice of cake for my friend on her birthday. She's very happy and told me she really likes it! That made me happy~~ hhahaha! Hmm, I haven't received any hand-made gifts (i think!) and hmmm, if I were to be given one, well, I guess I'll really treasure it a lot! :D hahaha!

I'm very fond of crafts and crochet although I only know the basics. I made a scarf and a scrapbook for one of my best friends who's already in another country. It wasn't the best cuz I only started that time but I've seen her wearing the scarf, proudly I might add and then she asked me if I could make her a matching beanie. So i think that counts for something. It's the thought that counts and the effort you've alloted for the person is already a gift and that's what makes it so special. If you ask me, I love personalized gifts. It's more thoughtful and memorable, i think.

I bought a wooden heart at the dollar store, painted it, sprinkled it with glitters and wrote on it to give it to my boyfriend for Father's day. He really loved it. It is the effort and the thought that count.

I did the same things as the film "Love actually" . I called my ex-girlfriend to come down and see me . Then I told her not to speak , and showed her the big cardboard sheets and what was written on them. I finally gave her a rose with her picture in it . We had just broken up and it was a thing I had to do for myself ,something to let me move on. She cried , hugged me and ... Anyway , that is the best thing I have done for someone special in my life.
