Facebook disabled my account for no reason, no warning, no explanation

I logged-on to facebook last night, opened my account, then just got coffee from the kitchen. When i came back, i received notice that my fb account was disabled for violation!?!? I have not even posted anything as of late. I am screaming hacked!!?! Scary, freaky...I opened up a new account then discovered that one of my friends' account got disabled too around at the same time. What is wrong? Have you ever experienced this? Did you get any explanation? What did you do?

Facebook has been dealing with a bug that for some reason randomly suspends women's accounts for violations that never happened. Send an email to facebook support.

Why women in particular? This is strange.

The article I read in the newspaper suggested that facebook was working on a program that would flag fake accounts and suspend them pending investigation by a real person to see if the account is fake or not, and apparently most fake facebook accounts are set to say that it is a woman that owns the account. Perhaps people who set up fake accounts to promote something or spam people think that people will be more likely to believe them if it is a sexy woman in the profile pic?

That happened to me about 2 weeks ago. I hardly even use mine very much...don't have to talkative friends I guess....but I couldn't figure it out either...I did nothing wrong. But to "reactivate" it they wanted a copy of my drivers license or some other "federal" type of ID fax or scanned to them. Forget it...Facebook is not getting that from me..I don't need or care that much about it. So I just ignored it and 2 days later....I logged on "just to see" and it was up an running as usual. I later checked my email and they sent me a notice saying it was done by mistake, nothing wrong with my page. So give it a day or two and see if that same thing happens to you. Maybe it was just a group that got caught up by mistake or something

Didn't bother me none as I am not a FB fan. No big deal and even if I was...I wasn't going to give them my personal info online like that...just incase it wasn't really FB doing it.

I don't know if an email like that from admin would make me feel better. It is a real big inconvenience.

I haven't had that happen on facebook so far. People seemed to get hacked pretty easily though. You could have been hacked or it might just be some sort of issue facebook is having. I would contact them and let them know what happened. I'm sure they will get it resolved.

Hi, Sorry to hear about the disability on your facebook account. It never happened to me before. My suggestion is you can email the facebook admin to clarify on this issue. Since you never do any violation things into facebook account, then your account should not be disabled due to no reason. Please check with them and get an explanation to know what is going on to your facebook account.

I closed and reopened my facebook account for many times. Now I resume my facebook account again and it works. There might be a system error to you. The best party to complain and to resolve your problem is the facebook administrator. Good luck to you.

I'm new to this, never experienced this one. The way i see it it's either a bug or someone just hacked your account. Better to report this to FB admin just to let them know what is happening. I guess if that happened to me i would be freaking as well. Sorry about what happened.

That's not good, i would be really mad if that happen to me. I really suggest you report it to Facebook admin, they need to know this. Even if they can't retrieve you're old profile then at least prevent this from happening again not only from you but also to others. I'm sorry again my friend.

It's indeed weird. Maybe someone hacked into your account somehow. Contact facebook support and explain your situation as soon as possible. Hope everything's going to be alright.

Bad thing for you. Good thing for me my account is intact. But if the case is you didn't do anything and suddenly your account was disabled, that's really scary. You'd have to re-do everything again in that account. Uploading pictures and videos, adding friends, and if you have written some notes in it... Anyways, good luck in making another FB account.

Yes, I had the same problem, but it was easily solved. I can't remember how we solved the problem but it was not that hard. Maybe facebook will send you a pin code to your mobile in order to verify if you are real or not then you will have to enter that pin and everything will turn to normal.

That is an unusual incident....! I've never heard a Facebook account being disabled before. This is creepy since it happened to one of your friend as well. Try contact the Facebook administrator, maybe they will try to resolve it.
