For me I don't know if it really is concidered a big sacrifice but I saved a baby black bird thats was being attacked by a cat when it fell out of the nest trying to fly. I took it out of the sun gave it some water and called animal rescue! I even took a pic of it b4 they came (it won't upload here) :(you could see where its feathers were torn off my the cat. It was sad.

hi Katie my adult son was adopted by a stray tomcat and my son really loved that cat and even took dozens of picttres of him, My son had never seemed an animal lover so he really delighted and surprised me.He and Mr.cat got to be very close when the Owner of the c omplex decided
to get nasty and told my son get rid of Mr. Cat or leave. we do notp
permit cats here. So my son who was out of work began a hunt for a home for Mr Cat and showed pics of the cat to everyone. He found ngood
home for him, but my son was really blue for a long time as he got
so lose to Mr. Cat. This for my son a logical cmputer prgrammer
was a huge loss. The thing is it was a huge sacrifice fro him as
he and I due to financial problms can no longer share an apartment and
thus have no real home. So to lose his pal was painful.

I did the same exact thing about 5 or 6 years ago. We had two old cocker spaniels but one was getting a bit senile and at the time we lived in a subdivision, I had crossed the street to talk to a neighbor and a large car came along and my dog was beside me but decided to return home. I tried to call her back but she got scared and started to run and the car was so close that I dove for my dog and as I did, I saw the tires of the car go right by my face! I'll never forget it! It was just that close! If I had a rock, I'd have threw it at the car!! I was so damned angry at the lack of feelings for a living BEING regardless if it's an animal or a human, it's STILL a live being! From then on, I made sure she was in the house if I were to cross the street again.
