I Decided to Download and use Different Net Browsers....

Personally, I am getting sick and tired of using the Mozilla Fire Fox knowing that it has pass its prime and began loosing it's edge like the Internet Explorer. although i think he is now considered as firebird, i am not taking any chances since fire fox wasn't good for me when it comes to mylot.
So, after careful thinking, i decided to download google. which was good but of course, i tuned it up for the other sites because it tends to slow down on my end when ever this site is patch up with the other.
Therefore, Finally I have Downloaded OPERA which is also compatible with Linux Ubuntu. it's still on the test stage, but the performance is GREAT. i got no problem loading post in mylot. It's not too late to change browser if you know that isn't working well on the site that you are on. take a search and give it a try.

Browsers are really a big issue when surfing online .I have installed Maxthon ,World and Opera on my laptop .You may haven't heard about the former two ,which are invented by Chinese .Usually i hang out on BBS with Maxthon or World because they seem to more compatible than opera .When i visit U.S websites ,Opera is indispensable as it is much faster .Even though it seems some kind of uncomvenient with 3 logo on the desktop , i can't figure out other solution .

Hello Captnjack,
There's only two browsers that i used before was only Internet Explorer and Firefox. 
It's only this time where i decided to use the newest browser. which is good really.SO far am loving Opera and it's a lot faster than the others. of course, if something goes wrong with this and chrome, there's always firefox.

we have the freedom to choose on what we want, whats comfortable for us and what we like most. For me firefox is good. but it takes time for me to open this apps. but when I browse the cyber world it give me a smooth visiting in each site. Opera and Chrome is also good but they have some limitations which can do by the mozilla firefox. thanks..

suprisingly, this is the only moment where i chose a browser that is completely different from the one i got to used to.i don't know what limitations are you talking about since am barely a new user to these two browsers.

I am almost done with firefox. Firefox no longer performs well as is expected of them. Everyday I get that 'not responding' alert in my computer and the whole page just freeze up which forced me to restart the window. I am just getting sick of all this time waster firefox and thought of reverting to opera too. I have used opera once and found it quite compatible to mylotting.

It's not what they used to be. i remember cursing internet explorer for providing a very slow service most specially when loading a site. when firefox came, it was a savior but unfortunately, time has changed indeed. most specially that the internet speed we have now is a bit slow. but for now i like it.1 person likes this

Odd, I never had any problems posting on mylot on any browser, so could it be your connection speed that was causing the issue?
In any case, great to hear that you have a good browser now!

Actually, the Connection speed had been really part of the problem. since, we can't keep with the high payment because it cost almost 50 to 100 dollars a month, we decided to lower down our subscription. downgrading our internet speed to the lowest but less payment. but since there's nothing i could do with the slow speed i decided to choose the most efficient browser instead.

hi LK,
i have been hearing about this Opera and i am told it is really good. but i cannot download it here in this old computer now because this is going to crash anytime (being nearly 7 years old now). hopefully i get a new computer and that is where i will start using Opera.

I think you need a new PC but what i have is almost four years old but thanks to my brother who kept updating this PC.well, this one is almost have a lot of old stuff inside it. but was able to upload some of the new parts of this PC. i hope things would go well with this new browser. I think in you're case, just re format the computer and check the power supply to see if it needs changing

I like chrome because it lets you end processes and individually runs them in terms of processes on task manager. this lets me kill only parts of it if it's using up to much ram or vm. I tried opera and it's great but it doesn't fit my needs completely. did you run a lot of add ons on firefox in the past?

Can you be more specific about Opera doesn't fit in? i believe when i downgraded out interent speed, that's when the problems with firefox started to arise. maybe i should check on the add ons too, there might be add ons there aren't useful anymore. how should i delete them anyways? thanks for you're response.1 person likes this

I used to feel that maybe because of my internet connection speed, mylot site is slow. But never really tried switching the browser. Definitely it works better in Firefox than Internet Explorer, but after what you have posted. I would definitely want to study this. Hope its faster...

letran if TimeWarner Cable is available in your counrtry they cost 38.99 a month much cheaper than other companies and their cable is very fast loading too. but I like my fire fox and I know that mylot is responsible for a lot of t he slow loading as when I complain to them they will speed up loading and I know my fire fox is fast on every other site.

I use Firefox and I"m content with it. Though to be perfectly honest I am starting to wonder whether or not I should download an additional browser, like Chrome or Opera for my work. So I could keep my entertainment and personal surfing on Firefox and have all my professional writing and research.
Or maybe I'm just making my life more difficult?

I wonder that myself. just imagine it took me years before i got to make this decision. probably i am too busy using fire-fox here.well, what ever you're decision is i hope this browser still works on you in the future. as for now, i think you can try the new browsers, who knows.

I have no idea about Linux OS. But, I found all other browsers have some serious problems, except Opera. Long back, I switched to opera.
But, in my experience, some scripts don't work with Opera. At those times, I use IE or Firefox (most preferably I use IE) for that particular web page only. (For example, I couldn't edit my MyLot profile with opera. I have to use FF or IE for editing my MyLot profile. I'm experiencing this everytime for the past one year. I've tried with my PC and Laptop.)

Well, for one thing now i got a problem creating a new browser besides his one in the opera. am not sure what was the problem but i guess that's while i couldn't directly open up another browser unless there's an option opent a new window when i chose an option in mylot.i don't have a laptop only a Desktop

I have gotten so comfortable with FireFox that I can't imagine switching. Although I did feel this way about IE and well here I am with FireFox. I will have to research Chrome a bit more as I do know many are raving positivity with it.
Will have to get back to you someday if I decide to change it.
