Oh Boy , after eating Turkey for 5 days now it's almost time to get ready for the big Christmas Feast.. Lots of people bought buy 1 get 1 free Turkeys so they can have the second one for Christmas. I'm leaning more towards a nice Roast or a Honey baked Ham. What's cooking in your kitchen on Christmas and how many pounds are you gonna gain this Holiday season?

Well over here in England we dont have Thanksgiving, so we dont ahve lots and lots of Turkey... I am cooking lots of different meants for Christmas day, lamb, beef, turkey, pork and whatever else I can find reasonably cheap... Although I am not planning on putting any weight on... I am doing this by dieting now and losing around 8 pounds so I can put it back on without having to diet in the new year.

Lucky you...you don't have to cook. I made it through Thanksgiving without gaining weight now I hope I make it through the rest of the year. I lost over 30 pounds almost 16 month ago and trying to keep them off.

Shhhhhh.... I don't even want to see or hear that T word.. I am so sick of it. But my husband will make me make another one for Christmas even though we ended up only eating the breas.t and the rest ended up going to my dog who gained 5 pounds..lol I want a Ham for Christmas and Hopefully will be able to get one. I had one for Thanksgiving as well but it was a tiny one. Didn't last long. I say I will gain 10 pounds..what with all the fudge, candies, cookies, popcorn balls and everything else I will be making.

Holy cow..... you go all out on the Holidays don't you. I'm not a good baker so we just get a pie or cake from the store. Hopefully I don't gain more than 2 pounds, I can shed them in the week afterward.

Hi missy! I think I'm on my last day of turkey too! I'm not sure what I'm going to make for Christmas yet. I have another smaller turkey that my bf got from his job and I had to put it in my neighbor's freezer across the street. I don't think I want to make it for Christmas it's too soon! I'm thinking about making a lasagna, but probably only if I'm having some company because it's too much for just two people even though I do freeze some. I could make a Roast, but I make them all the time. Still have some time to decide!

That's another reason I didn't get two turkeys...I don't have room in my freezer. Lasagna always sounds good to me, I love Italian food.

Oh my, you are right! Just like you my husband and I are still working on out left overs from thanksgiving. I have not thought about our Christmas dinner until I read this discussion. If my children and their family come down then we will have our family feast and if they don't maybe my husband and I will go out too "GC" for dinner, because you can eat all you want at a low low price and also we get the Senors discount. Well, I best be going, I need to start making my list of things to do and people to call. God bless you, my dear. Take care Snow

Going out to a nice big buffet sounds really good and it's probably just as much money as buying all the food and slaving over the hot stove. I don't think we went out to a restaurant all year long so that's something to consider.
