The bro code :) Have you ever heard about that?

Hello guys,
lately we watch a serial movie called "How i met your mother". Actors there are 3 guys and 2 girls. All of them got great friendship and really nice relations. 
This is where i first heard about "The bro code". It's a handbook with rules for keeping one friendship. One of the rules is "never sleep you your friend's ex girlfriend", other rule "never say no if your bro needs help for something" and much more funny rules. I'll keep you updated with new bro rules, when we watch the serial. 
What i want to ask is, do you have same rules with your friends? Rules, which nobody talks about, but you know it, like it's kind of ... the nature of one friendship?

That sitcom rocks!!! Barney is hilarious and the rest of the cast. Bro code, lemon law and the eye talks are explosive spice that bonds them.
our code don't includes sleeping w/ ex's, it's ok for us at least we know. The number one on the rules is about break ups and it must be a celebration.

Can't say I watch HIMYM, I generally don't do sitcoms. But as for the Bro Code: Heard of it, but can't really say I care about memorizing any since it doesn't apply to me.
One unspoken rule among my friends, I guess, is no dating friend's ex if it was a hard break-up. It's cool to date exes only if they split amicably. Oh yeah, no secretly dating exes either. If you have the confidence to date your bff's ex, then you better have the courage to be forward about it.

bro code? what's that? I guess that code on the movie does not exist, maybe they just made that up to make the movie more interesting.. by the way, what is the title of that movie? the story seem to be great.

I did not really think about it but no friend of mine was with ex so this i drop :P
I always help my "bros" :P We are friends and if i need them they will most probably help me too ;)
I think we do that because we are friend ? don;'t friendship involve helping each other too and sharing and stuff :P

I've only watched the series when I manage to stumble upon it while channel surfing. I guess we do have "The Bro Code". We have a lot of things that we never really discuss yet we all understood what should and shouldn't be done. I guess that just develops in a friendship when you guys already know so much about each other.

Not lately. We used to have something like this when I was at university. It was mostly between me and a good friend of mine. Between us two, I was the one who sort of had money. And he was like a salesman when he talked. So, when we were out with girls, he would be the one who would gather them up, and I was the one who would make sure that we had finances to have a good time.

I have several types of friends of all nationalities. I find that the Hispanic crowds male and female all use the bro to refer to their good friends. It is a slang but a very tight word for a person who you care about deeply.
So yes we do use it but we know that when and where to use it. As not everyone is understanding of certain slang words these days. However when it is used we know it is out of love and we care about that person very much.

yes i heard about that bcs i also watched that series ahah i really like it but i guess that all friends none of them want to date the friend's ex. i guess that is a rule that is applied to all friends^^ i guess that there is always that problem how would my friend react if i date his ex or something? ahah ^^ so thats normal^^ but yes that serie is funny and i love barney he is super funny

Barney for me is like WTF, is he going to shut up some day? But yes, he is really fresh face, who always got a decision about every kind of problems, always give advices and is always cared about everyone.
Actually if i have to be honest, this rules are something hard for keeping sometimes. Even happened with me, when i had a boyfriend and i liked so much one of his friends, he always was watching me that way, like he is drinking me slowly like a tasty cocktail. Kind of annoying, i felt like i'll never run away of him ...
It was burning me, but never been with the other guy. I just didn't want to break their friendship for a night pleasure.

Hey i love that show! I just missed watching that last night 'coz i was busy doing some home renovation which i was not able to finish the whole day. Anyway, i really love that show. They're funny and everything. Actually almost all of them have been together or like slept with their friends GF. I just love the way the story of that show.

I thought it would be annoying, that was my first expression when i start watching some show. If it will be the first season, it's hard, because it takes time to recognize who is whom and so on. But when i understood their stories it became so amazing.
I'm still on 3th season, so i don't know what will happen ... and who will sleep with someone new
