police scanner

i down loaded the police scanner on my itouch and oh wow are the police in Memphis Busy . even when it is raining they are out in full force and everyone has a gun. does anyone else listen a lot to a scanner?

Hi Laura,
Can you provide details on the police scanner? Where can I download it, frequency, kind of phone software, etc.
In our place we use that old VHF radio to monitor police/citizen traffic. It is allowed if one doesn't interfere or call only on emergency cases. The frequency is also a guarded secret and not anybody has access to it except to authorized personnel.
