where is Dinesh Karthik?Has his finished his carrier? Is W.Saha a better keeper?

Dinesh karthik was the second keeper for india, selectors and dhoni used him as keeper, fielder, opener, batting at no:3, middle order batsman.......
what happened now not even in the team.
he was substituted for almost all batting position and was in the squad most times.
Kris srikanth picked karthik many times,who is also from tamil nadu.
[b]Actually first, i thought that srikanth gave him more oppurtunity beyond his talent.
he was part of India's primary team on most time, now not even have place in secondary team![/b]
He is also not in the new contract list of BCCI.
not in A,B,C grades.
actually in the current young team, he should have given chance, he has experience also.
And W.Saha, he is not at all a good batsman.
Ifeel that D.Karthik is better player that W.Saha.
what is the better thing in W.Saha than karthik?
Saha is a failure in batting, for KKR also he was not able to bat well except in few matches.
last match also he got a platform where he can play freely, still he could not bat well, i accept that his keeping is good.
I think Inidan selectors is spoiling another talent (Dinesh Karthik) by just avoiding him.
they have done this to irfan, Uthappa, kaif now to Karthik also.
This is very poor approach shown by Inidian selectors.

yes,Karthik should have included in the team in the absence of Dhoni.
He is far far better than Saha.
Also have some experience and young legs.
the selectors are avoiding few players like Uthappa,Irfan,karthik etc.
Karthik should have been included in the squad this time.But bad luck for him.
As you said it may be start of end of his career.
Good talents are spoiling!

Well i dont think that career of Karthik is finished , he definitely is better player than Saha, but one things goes against him that is his poor keeping .He was always the next choice after Dhoni but that series loss in 2-1 Srilanka when Dhoni opted for rest ,in that series he dropped some easy catches at crucial moments and he was struggling against spinners.Saha has done well as a batsman in Ranji so there is chance that he may play better than he is doing now in future and he is a good keeper.Its unfortunate for Dinesh Karthik as he is a class batsman and a team player, but the tough competition in Indian team and his not so good wicketkeeping is the reason of him being out of the team.Having said that he has temperament and class to bounce back , though it seems unlikely before the world cup.World cup is going to happen in India so i dont think second wicketkeeper will be chosen in final 15 .About Irfan he is injured and also he has lost his lethal swing and pace .If he can regain his speed and swing no selector can ignore him so its entirely upto him to make his way back into the team, Uthappa has not decided to open ever and unfortunately there are too many players competing for a place in middle order like Saurabh Tiwary and Yusuf Pathan , even the guy who is in superb form like Kohli , so its unlikely that Uthappa gets any chance.About Kaif i agree that what happened with him was wrong , its dosent happen very often that you score half centuries in both the innings of a test match and still end up getting dropped from the team.

so who will be the substitute keeper for the indian team in World Cup squad??
will it be Karthik/Saha or will the selectors bring a new option of Parthiv Patel??
There is no use in experimenting a new keeper that too just before the start of world cup.
instead we should have given karthik the chance to improve his keeping in international level and to gain experience.
This is purely an idiotic selection at this point of time done by the selectors.

Even i dont agree with selectors at all , i was just pointing out the possible reasons why selectors are keeping Karthik out and Saha in.About your question that who will be substitute keeper , i think Karthik is far ahead of any other keeper as he has played t20 world cup so he can handle pressure better, he has played 52 ODI games more than any other wicketkeeper after Dhoni (Parthiv playing 14 and Saha just 2), also he is a class batsman .Experimenting with Saha is different but if selectors chose him over Karthik in world cup in case of injury to Dhoni it will surely be a big blunder.Adding to this , Karthik is not the only one unlucky, i think RP Singh is another player who is ignored .RP should have been in the team instead of Umesh Yadav for South African tour.Everyone knows how well he performed overseas in Aus, SA and England.Who can forget his performance in famous test victory at Perth and t20 world cup match at Kingsmead .Selection of Umesh Yadav over bowlers like Vinay Kumar,Munaf Patel and RP who are performing far better than him in domestic cricket is totally unfair.

is karthik's career over?
not by a long shot.
do i agree that karthik should have been picked for the ongoing series against kiwis?
no i dont agree.
is it right to drop someone from contract?
nope.
i can go as far as saying that when sachin says goodbye to cricket,i might also say goodbye to cricket unless karthik is still in playing XI.
you can say i am kinda obsessed about him.
it might be due to the fact i still remember his back to back centuries in semis and finals for tamil nadu that brought him into spotlight.
or it may be due to sound that i hear whenever he made contact with the ball.
but why i dont want him in this squad.
the reason is simple.
ever since the middle of IPL 3,the guy has been going through a very bad patch.
sure he made a good knock in the finals but thats it.
the trademark of karthik is that he is a busy player.you can't bog him down.
but recently his strike rate got below 40.
there was this chripy kinda attitude in the field that is always visible when the guy is sound in body and mind but that wasn't there during the last few months.
i suggest him to take a short break from cricket,get his mind back on to form and then come back.
who knows,he might even replace dhoni as a keeper.

It is not possible to say whether or not Karthik has finished his career or not, but we can say that he couldn't use the chances he had been given. He neither contribute with his bat not behind the wickets. P.Patel and Karthik were given many chances but they failed to prove some points. Now lets give chance to other wicket keepers like W.Saha, I wish him all the best. Hope he can contribute and the selectors will give him more chances. After playing several matches we can compare him with Karthik as he has played his second ODI only.

But this is not the time to do experiments.
we are so near to world cup and looking for a new keeper, then it will be abig blunder.
surely this time karthik should have given chance as he will be our best substitute keeper, saha is a waste in batting, in ipl also he has just not scored runs.
in limited over cricket he has not made a single good knock.

I got surprised too after seeing new keeper Saha !!! Dinesh Karhik is surely better in batting then Saha.. I don't think he has finish his carrier that soon. I was also thinking Dinesh was getting too much chances without needing. But He is surely better then Saha.. I guess Parthiv Patel is also better choice then Saha.. Wicket keeper should know the proper batting..

ya in present day cricket, wicket keeper should know to bat well, in old era there were WK who batted as no:11.
but thats not the case now, we are now playing a keeper like that.
he is a mug with the bat.
and why srikanth dont select karthik in this young team?
