How can we watch videos from my laptop / youtube on my television?

How can i connect my laptop to my TV so that I can watch my laptop screen, videos, youtube etc on my television. I have a S-video output (7 pin). Will just connecting a cable from this to the video in of my TV be enough? Are there any major settings to change or software to install?

No any installation needed, as long as you video card installer installed in your pc. Just connect the S-video output in your tv and enjoy watching. The tv was serves as your monitor. hope it help

If I'm right, you should be able to just run an s-video cable from your computer's s-video out to the s-video in if your tv has one. No settings or software I'm aware of.

I am an amateur of this. But with my laptop, if you are familiar with HDMI port. I use HDMI cable connect my laptop to the television, and watch the online movies on my 40 inch HDTV though. If your laptop doesn't have a HDMI port, don't worry about it, you can buy a HDMI to DVI cable, and connect the DVI end to your laptop, and HDMI to the tv. I hope that will help you a little.

once when me and my friends had a sleepover at my friends house we wanted to watch movies but the laptop screen was too small so we connected to his bravia using hdmi and watched.upgrades are the best option
