Christians believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God, but do they really understand what does it mean that Jesus is the "son of God"? Muslims also believe in Jesus as a prophet, the Holy Quran (the sacred book of Muslims) assure that the Almighty God have no sons, and therefor Jesus Christ according to the Quran is not the son of God because God have no sons! The Holy Quran is clear regarding Jesus the son of Mary, a human being, Jesus was born miraculously through the same power that had brought Adam into being without a father or a mother, a prophet was sent to the Children of Israel, and only to them. reading the old testament of the Bible, we will find the term "son of God" used to describe other people, some of them were also referred to as begotten son of God, while the Holy Quran is also clear that God begetteth not nor was begotten. the "son of God" in the Bible and What does it mean actually. Exodus 4:22 Jacob(Israel)is God's son and firstborn 2 Samuel 7:13-14 Solomon is God's son Jeremiah 31:9 Ephraim is God's firstborn (who is God's firstborn? Israel or Ephraim?) some people will argue that Jesus is the only begotten son of God, Well then, Read Psalms 2:7 "I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me (King David), Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.". Common people (you and me) are the sons of God: "Ye are the children of the LORD your God" Deuteronomy 14:1 "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God" Romans 8:14 "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name:" John 1:12 "That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world;" Philippians 2:15 "Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: ... now are we the sons of God" 1 John 3:1-2 "When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?" Job 38:7 "Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD," Job 2:1 "Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD," Job 1:6 "when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men," Genesis 6:4 "That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they [were] fair" Genesis 6:2 As we can see from these and many other verses like them, "son of God" in the language of the Jews was a very innocent term used to describe a loyal servant of God. Whether the translators and editors chose to write it as "Son of God" (with a capital S) in reference to Jesus and "son of God" (with a small S) in reference to everyone else does not diminish the fact that in the original language, both cases are exactly the same. Now, Do you understand what does the term "son of God" in the Bible actually mean?

Son of God - Jesus had in him the finest extract of sentient beings that had lived through the bodies of several generations to personify in Jesus. What Jesus had in him was the consecrated elements of those sentient beings. Since the finest extract of the generation of one entire era had concentrated in one person Jesus therefore He was Son of God.
Before we try to understand who Son of God is we must understand who God is. Author of book of Genesis said, "And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters." (Gen 1:2) Science tells us that the creation began with a primordial atom and that this whole universe came into being through that atom. It means that the spirit of God too was in that primordial atom. God is revealing his divine presence in all things that he created thereafter. It indicates that the atom was made of two things, viz., matter and the spirit. Not all the spirit had separated from the matter. As some grain while it is being sifted from chaff is trapped in weeds likewise, some spirit too was still trapped in the matter. That spirit in the matter is in two forms, viz., anima and soul. As grain is salvaged from the weeds before weed is taken to burn, in the same way the Spirit trapped in matter is still being salvaged. Our soul is crying for salvation because we want to free ourselves from the matter. We are aspiring to conjoin with God. God is the finest extract of all living things. In Genesis it is written God created Adam out of dust (matter). He breathed into his nostril the breath of live and Adam became a living soul. The living soul God had breathed into Adam's nostril had revealed itself once again in Jesus. Through Jesus that living soul had changed into Holy Spirit. Adam's soul had migrated generation after generation through his descendants to Noah, to Abraham and then to Jesus. Jesus had in him the finest extract of sentient beings that had lived through the bodies of several generations to personify in Jesus. What Jesus had in him was the consecrated elements of those sentient beings. Since the finest extract of the generation of one entire era had concentrated in one person Jesus therefore He was Son of God.

Luke 6:35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the "children of the Highest:" for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil. Matthew 5:45 That ye may be the "children of your Father which is in heaven": for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. Psalm 82:6 I have said, You are gods; and all of you are "children of the most High". Children of most high=sons of God

Ohhh... the bible is very confusing. All is written in the bible is very confusing. Oh my gosh. There are lots of interpretation in the bible and some of it is very confusing and some is contradict to what it is written...... I do not understand the bible. The only people who understand the bible are those people who just have "faith" in God and that is the reason why they do not see the 'contradiction.' Too much "faith" in God would only means believing that the bible is perfect.

For me honestly being a son of God & be called one, is a very huge privilege for me. For I was given the authority to find refuge in the Lord,It was like I was given a second very loving father that helps me all me life, a father that I can share my deepest thoughts, my comforter, my strength... I don't care what exactly the bible say's about it but for me, that's the way it is. I'm so happy to be in the side of the Lord since I was a child till now. No other reasons, I don't want to pin points things in the bible to be precise. I'm answering this topic based on my faith to Him above that gave me life, happiness & love.. God bless...

This is just another reason I do not trust anything in writing that tells us how to love our Lord, God. Anything that was written, was written by man. The Lord is much more spiritual for me. "Use me to better humanity any way you can"! My father-in-law is the closest person to me that is the best example of this. He is not a perfect example, but the best one I know.

It hard to compare between Bible and Holy Quran. As far i know Bible is the old testimonial and the Holy Quran is the last testimonial. According to my logic i choose the last testimonial because it more accurate and most complete then the old testimonial. However, you need to compared both of the testimonial but it not easy for normal human to understand exactly which one is the truth and which one is already being change. Second reason is the old testimonial become too many version and it hard to choose which one is the original. At the end i wondering why god want to be in human form and why the great god need a sons? what for? if the god have the power to create all the universe why he need a sons? if we're a sons of god, why we have to suffer in this f***ing life? what for? If we're sons of god why the god have to create hell, what for? we should enter heaven because we're the sons of god. we should live forever and do what ever we wanna do.

Wow thanks for giving most of the account from the bible about the topic. For me one main meaning to me "Son of God" meaning all with faith and believe to God is giving a previlage to become son of God and called Him Abah Father. As my account as beleiver of God, I have authority and claim as a son of God, because my spirit and Spirit of God with me is testifying I'm son of God (Romans 8:16 and 1 corinthins 3:19).. see you around
