When we feel so tired but we have to work, we usually find some ways to wake ourselves up, like eating chocolate or any desserts, drinking coffee or tea, making a phone call to chat with a friend for a short while, washing our face and so on. What about you? What do you usually do? Any good tips to wake us up and continue to work? Looking forward to read your sharing! agonyaunt69 (2:54pm 1 Dec 2010, Hong Kong time)

I usually drink coffee to feel awake. Sometimes, I try exchanging text messages with my friends to keep me awake during night time and i have to stay awake.

Hello agonyaunt69, I work two jobs during the week. I am first job at 6:30am and home at 12:3pm after midnight from second job on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. I try to eat more smaller meals during the day usually 6 times I am eating but usaully healthy food. Vegetables for lunch and like a sandwhich before I go in my second job. I go right from job to the next with no breaks in between. I try to eat a healthy breakfast not easy because that is when I am most tired. Right now I am on break and typing and keep moving keeps me alert. When I was in the mailroom waiting for the newspaper to come down that was the hardest and I got most sleepy. Now I am in the plateroom and on my feet more with less breaks. It is the way I preferr it keeps me awake. I hope these tips helps. I try to drink only 1 soda a day towards the afternoon and 1 cup of coffee in the morning. Have a great Christmas and good luck on both jobs. Sincerely Unique16

I tend to have some caffeine, either in the form of energy tablets like Proplus, a cup of coffee with sugar in or an energy drink.

Drink coffee, preferably hot coffee. Or get yourself an energy drink. Or drink both at the same time. That'll get you boosted up and ready for your work.

I dont think I can escape the sleepyness. Take a nap and force yourself to wake up. Take a quick fresh air and then head for a shower. Works every time :)

I take a quick short walk. Maybe to the restroom to pee.Use the stairs when you will go to the restroom. I do some stretching too. I makes the flow circulate well in our veins. I think this is weird, but I apply make up whenever I have to work and I am so tired. DOing this will make me feel energetic. But if I am really so tired and I can not think or concentrate on my work I take a 15-20 minutes nap but be sure to have alarm clock, so that you will not sleep at all.

If I can, I lay down and close my eyes for about 20 minutes or less. Even if I don't nap I just try to rest and relax for this short amount of time. It helps, too. I arise with more energy.
